What the VS Fashion Show is really like: Romee Strijd’s tell-all video

Romee Strijd is one of our favourite Victorias Secret Angels.

Unlike most models, the statuesque blonde also manages and creates content for her own successful self titled YouTube channel, which boasts over 717,000 subscribers.

Romee's most recent vlog has us seriously excited, as the model is showcasing to the world what it's really like to walk in one of the most-watched fashion events in the world.

Her vlog kicks off with a flurry of pink carpet outfit fittings, press announcements and bag packing to jet to Vegas after the show.

Most of us probably assume that the VS angels are completely fearless when it comes to the show, but as it turns out, Romee has a whole category of worries none of us would ever have considered.

Speaking about being chosen to wear the coveted Swarovski outfit, the Amsterdam native said: 'Im honoured. It has over 120k crystals, but the wings are super, super, SUPER heavy though. That's why I'm a little scared for it, because the heels are also super super high.'

However, with her boyfriends flying in to support her, Romee is extremely excited despite her apprehensions.

She brings her vlogging camra backstage and showcases the process of getting ready for the event – from nails to final fittings to donning wings. The chosen nail shade for the show is a pale pink, and right after her manicure Romee looses her voice completely.

The vlogging camera then captured Romee talking about something we never ever knew, and we were pretty shook.

When we think of the VS Fashion Show, we think one one massive, blow out catwalk show, but actually, the show happens TWICE and then the best walks and performances of the show are edited together into one – the TV special the public sees on December 2nd.

Romee shows herself getting ready for both shows, as a number of backstage stylists help her get into her lace-up shoes.

The model also took her camera onto the pink carpet and into the after party – where things got lit.

In true supermodel style, Romee nursed her hangover with a pot of porridge on a private jet (casual) trip to Vegas.

We love a homegrown hero and up and coming modelling sensation Stella Maxwell is no exception.

Looking phenomenal as a Victoria's Secret Angel, she has officially become our latest girl crush. But who is she, where did she come from and most importantly how can we have her life?!

1. She has Irish in her blood
Though Stella grew up in many different parts of the globe, she was born to Northern Irish parents. Her parents are both Belfast natives which means we are officially claiming her as Irish.

2. She has lived all over the world
The leggy blonde spent her early years in Belgium before moving to New Zealand with her Dad being a successful diplomat. She now casually manages to split her time between LA and NYC. Jealous does not even begin to cover it!

3. She dated Miley
Even with her modelling credentials, Stella came to everyone's attention when it was reported she was dating none other than Miley Cyrus earlier this year.

Having met through mutual friends, the pair were caught passionately kissing and even though it looks like the fling may have ended, it caused a pretty big sensation. Let’s just say we cannot wait to see who Stella dates next.

4. She is a Victoria's Secret Angel
Stella walked the 2014 Victoria's Secret show and officially became an Angel in 2015. She wore her wings for the first time on this week's show, which took place on Tuesday, and she looked amazing.

5. She's a catwalk veteran
Though she was thrust into the limelight for being a Victoria's Secret model and her rendezvous with Miley, Stella is a seasoned model and has walked many catwalk shows in her short career.

Big names she has worked for include Marc Jacobs and Moschino.

6. She has a seriously enviable squad
Apart from being effortlessly trendy, Stella Gigi Hadid amongst her BFFs, and lives in New York with her best pal and fellow model Barbara Palvin. She gives us a serious case of #squadgoals.

7. She takes androgynous to a new level
Beginning her career with a short, peroxide blonde pixie cut, Stella propelled herself into the fashion industry by being able to create a variety of versatile looks.

8. She’s a musician
Stella recently told V Magazine that she has finished up an album with friends in New York. Watch this space…

9. She dropped out of university

‘Nothing surprises him’: what Liam has to say about Miley’s lady love

Since Miley Cyrus and her new girlfriend, Stella Maxwell, have been getting their PDA on, we've been left wondering what Miley's former-fiance, actor Liam Hemsworth, thinks about the romance.

However, it has now emerged that the 25-year-old Melbourne-native is playing it seriously cool – reportedly telling a friend that "nothing" about the controversial singer surprises him anymore.

An insider told HollywoodLife.com that Liam "is aware" of the relationship, but that "nothing surprises him anymore with Miley". They added: "But he is not heartbroken, he has moved on."

While Liam might not be crying himself to sleep over the Wrecking Ball singer’s new romance with a Victoria’s Secret angel, the rest of us are just a little bit obsessed with them!

Reports have also revealed that the 24-year-old model, whose parents are from Belfast, has already met Miley’s parents, Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus, and that things are getting serious.

“Miley brought Stella home to meet her family and they really like her,” another source explained. “Her parents are both on board because they see how happy Stella is making her.

"They’re happy that she’s happy, and that’s all that matters to them.”

Miley and Liam first met in 2009 when they were filming the Nicholas Sparks' movie together, The Last Song. They began dating while they were filming and dated for nearly four years. The couple, who became engaged in June 2012, called off their wedding in 2013.

Despite the rumours, the 22-year-old singer has only had great things to say about the Australian heartthrob, and vice versa.

In an interview with Australia's Sunday Night television show Miley said, "I love Liam. Liam loves me." Meanwhile The Hunger Games star has always maintained that they will remain "best friends."

Miley had since been linked to Patrick Schwarzenegger, but the pair split up in April after five months of dating.

Miley Cyrus has a new lady love – and she’s Irish!

According to reports, Miley Cyrus is dating the Irish Victoria’s Secret model, Stella Maxwell.

Friends of the pair have said that the two have been dating for months. This is the first person Miley has been linked to since she split from Patrick Schwarzenegger last March.

The Wrecking Ball singer and the Belfast native have no problem being affectionate towards each other in public, with a source telling New York Daily News that “they hold hands and hug and are very comfortable together.”

“They’re definitely together,” the source continued.

Stella is a 24-year-old Belfast native. While she was born in Belgium and eventually settled in New Zealand, both of her parents are Irish. She first walked for Victoria’s Secret last December, and has been making a name for herself ever since.

According to an insider, the pair have travelled to Vegas together, as well as attending the South by Southwest festival in Austin.

The new couple have been constantly posting Instagram photos of each other and Ms Maxwell even joked in an interview with V magazine that they met on the gay dating site, Grindr.

While Miley has never openly dated a woman, she revealed in last week’s Paper magazine that she is bisexual and has dated women before.

“I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age,” the 22-year-old admitted.

Is that Harry Styles with ANOTHER angel?

It seems that Harry Styles has yet another Victoria's Secret model locked down.

The 21-year-old singer was spotted kissing Sara Sampaio after spending a night together in New York.

The Portuguese beauty reportedly said goodbye to Mr Styles outside his hotel on Thursday evening, but returned again later on that night.

The 23-year-old Sports Illustrated model was seen leaving the hotel the next morning at 11am in the same clothes she had arrived in. Harry was then spotted leaving 15 minutes after her.

A source told The Sun that “Harry had been partying with a group of friends at the Ludlow but seemed very friendly with Sara.”

“There was definitely chemistry there as they hugged and kissed each other when she left,” the source explained.

Could this new romance potentially cause some tension for the model?

Sara is reportedly friends with Taylor Swift, a well-publicised ex of Harry’s. She is also friends with fellow Victoria's Secret Angel, Nadine Leopold, who has been linked to the One Direction singer as well.

He sure knows how to pick ‘em, that’s for sure!

However, Ms Sampaio has tweeted before saying, “A girl can be friends with someone with a d**k and not hop on it.”

We don’t know Sara, leaving Harry’s hotel after a sleepover looks like more than friends to us!

It’s a knock-out! Hollywood fitness trends just got seriously tough

It's no secret that just like fashion trends, workout fads come and go.

There's no doubt, for example, that SoulCycle has been the fitness craze of the last few years.

Celebs such as Kim K, Victoria and David Beckham, Nicole Kidman, and Oprah Winfrey were all swearing – and sweating – by it.

Even Irish models couldn't resist testing it out: Roz Lipsett and Nadia Forde have both admitted they've attended classes Stateside.

But are we now approaching the end of SoulCyle's dominance? Because slowly and surely, waves and waves of A-listers are stepping out of the gym and into the ring.

In fact, dare we say it, we're on the verge of a brand-new, high-profile exercise movement.

Really though, when Roz Purcell said in an exclusive interview with SHEmazing! back in April that boxing was her latest fitness obsession, we should have known then that the sport was about to become a serious celeb trend.

"I started boxing about three or four months ago in Beau Jack’s off Camden Street," she revealed at the time. "I had friends tell me ‘oh you think you’re fit – you need to try these boxing classes.’

"The first class almost killed me. Afterwards I felt like I needed to go lie down for the rest of the day.

"But now I’ve found my stride and I’m loving it. The classes are packed full of guys too so you really have no choice but to push yourself."

Since then, we've started see the sport crop up just everywhere: from our favourite BBF trio of Kendall, Gigi and Cara, to a load of the Victoria’s Secret Angels, boxing is where it’s at.

Think Karlie Kloss, Miranda Kerr, Candice Swanepoel, Doutzen Kroes, and Adriana Lima – all of whom credit the ferocious sport with their long, toned limbs.

Aside from Cara Delevingne's latest Chanel campaign (shot by Karl Lagerfeld, natch) being set in the boxing ring, the 22-year-old beauty has also attributed her slim torso to intense boxing training.

Alexander Wang's collection for H&M last November also, significantly, included boxing gloves.

So why are the hottest models in the world ditching the gym for the ring?

Well, for one thing, fans say it's far more exciting than your average workout. Furthermore, it works your whole body.

Then, you also have to concentrate on footwork and choreography which can help you forget about the tiresomeness of working out.

Somehow we don’t think it’s going to be too long before the boxing classes in Irish gyms have a queue out the door too. Bye-bye SoulCycle, hello boxing ring.

Ireland’s very own VS Angel is soaring

Irish Victoria’s Secret Angel Stella Maxwell (yup, New Zealand can’t have her) has an amazing new cover out this month – namely the June 2015 edition of Elle Russia.

Understandably, the Belfast-beauty has seen her profile sky-rocket since the iconic lingerie brand announced her as one of its ten new Angels last month. Born in Belgium to Irish parents and raised largely in New Zealand, we’re still declaring her as this nation’s one-and-only VS superstar.

The Elle cover shot was taken on a recent shoot in Mexico, and depicts the 24-year-old model in a silk, lilac-hued dress and – more curiously – strappy sandals teamed with colourful socks.

North Yorkshire-native but New York-based Ben Morris was behind the lens for the shoot (he counts the likes of British Vogue, Nike, and H&M among his other clients). Meanwhile, Kenna – who regularly tends to the tresses of Victoria Beckham and Jourdan Dunn – styled her hair, with Parisian Yacine Diallo on makeup.

When not gracing international magazine covers, Stella is often spotted hanging out with model BFFs Barbara Palvin, who’s been romantically linked to Niall Horan, and Bella Hadid, the younger sister of Gigi.
