Cheryl Fernandez-Versini has gone viral after the outfit she wore on last night’s X Factor was ridiculed online. 

But who does she have to blame for the mocking? None other than Simon Cowell – who else?!

Wearing a green dress with a ruffled shoulder, Simon branded the Geordie stunner ‘Kermit’, as in the green frog, which you can see at 4.16 in the video below. 

Although Cheryl took the jibe in her stride and laughed it off, Twitter (as always) took things to a whole new and hilarious level with some brilliant creations you can only admire:

When he's not starring in thrillers like Gone Girl, he's discussing politics!

Ben Affleck was involved in a very heated debate about Islam with Bill Maher.

Ben calls Maher’s views on the religion into question, saying: “The people who actually believe that you should murder someone if you dishonour the Islamic faith is not with the majority of Muslims at all.”

The actor doesn’t back down and even becomes quite frustrated and shocked as the others voice their opinion.

Someone needs to tell the Kings of Leon about this little guy – he has mad skillz!

As well as being adorable (and teeny tiny), this kitten seems to be especially talented in the field of drumming – as he shows off with this hilarious dance. It might be an escape plan, it might be the performance of his life – we're not quite sure!

Sometimes it's nice to stay in, throw on your PJs and relax on the couch with a good film. Sometimes? Who are we kidding, it's our favourite thing to do pretty much every night.

Much as a movie night always sounds like a great prospect, there's always the struggle of choosing a film, sorting film-appropriate snacks, arguing over who THAT actor is ("He's in that show, you know, with yer man") and of course, the inevitable rewinding when someone gets distracted by WhatsApp/Facebook/Twitter.

This video by the folks at Buzzfeed is just a little too close for comfort… but we're glad to see we're not the only ones who spend half the film chatting, taking pee breaks and asking if our partner is asleep!

Regardless of whether you're in a long-term relationship or not, if you've ever had a movie night with ANYONE, you'll relate to this! The struggle is real, my friends.

An American couple who experienced terrible service on a night out have explained their decision to tip the waiter $100 before their departure.

Makenzie and Steven Schultz shared their good deed on Facebook, saying that although the service was poor, it was important to remember that they had once been in that place:

Alan Crowley, an Irish man, was glassed in an unprovoked attack in a Dublin pub back in 2011.  

He had been taking a photo of himself every week/day up until the attack – and continued afterwards too. 

Now, he has made a timelapse of the healing process – and it's really amazing!

This Come Dine With Me contestant had an amazing freak out when she realised she had come fourth.

The woman proceeds to tell everyone just how terrible their meals were and even calls one contestant’s food “sh**” before storming off to bed. Yes, she actually says she is going to bed.

Her guests are left sitting there dumbfounded and shocked at her childish behaviour.

Star of The Apprentice, Donald Trump, has had something of an interesting morning after he accidentally retweeted a photo of serial killer couple, Fred and Rose West.

@feckhead (didn’t that give it away?!) tweeted the business magnate writing: “My parents who passes away always said you were a big inspiration. Can you pls RT for their memory?”

Below the tweet was a photo of the Wests, a British couple who between them murdered over 13 girls, including one of their daughters.

Being nice, Donald retweeted the photo – unaware of who they really were and the cruel prank being played on him. 

Now, he has taken to Twitter to voice his anger about the prank: “Some jerk fraudulently tweeted that his parents said I was a big inspiration to them + pls RT – out of kindness I retweeted. Maybe I’ll sue.”

“I thought I was being nice to somebody re their parents. I guess this teaches you not to be nice or trusting. Sad!”

Aww, we actually feel really sorry for Donald – his reaction is making us want to cry!

While his owner may be too busy to play fetch with him, this clever little guy knows how to make strangers play with him instead!

As people walk by, the dog drops his ball over the fence so the person will throw it back, who would just walk past it after all?

But then he comes back and does it again…and again.

These two little ones are just the cutest!

Clearly starting to explore the world around them, the moment dad opens the fridge they are off like bullets. 

As dad is trying to prepare breakfast, the twins take turns sneaking up to the fridge and taking stuff out.
