S! TV: Retro-inspired style is taking over the high street for AW15

Crochet, graphic prints, fringing and faux fur… if this sounds like your dream wardrobe then you better get your bum down to Warehouse soon.

The fashion-forward retailer has just launched its AW15 collection, and it’s full of Seventies-inspired pieces with amazing prints and textures, from fringed leather minis to suede and fur winter cover-ups.

S! TV headed along to the official press breakfast to get a first look at the collection and to talk to the masterminds behind it all. Joanne Larby of The Mark Up Fairy was also on hand to talk us through her three favourite pieces from the AW15 range… of course, we already want them all and more.

High street fashion favourite Warehouse will be holding an exclusive student event this coming Thursday, 2^nd October between 5pm and 9pm in their South King Street store in Dublin.

Students who present a valid student card at the till will enjoy a 20 percent discount on all purchases on the evening, with this very special offer running in Warehouse stores nationwide.

And there’s an added bonus for bargain-hungry fashionistas out there, as Warehouse has also just launched a mid-season sale with up to 50 per cent off stock.

With top Dublin DJ Dan Stricht on the decks, it promises to be an evening full of fashion and fun at Warehouse.

ASOS shuts down website after huge fire at main warehouse

We REALLY don’t like the sound of this!

An ASOS warehouse the size of six football pitches has been badly damaged by a fire, forcing the online fashion giants to stop taking orders.

Gulp!

Both the UK and Irish websites have been down since this morning because of the blaze that started last night, and ASOS released a statement saying it would not be active again until the extent of the damage was assessed.

It’s been reported that close to 10 million boxes of clothes were destroyed in the fire.

If you try now to visit the site for your weekend browse, you will see this message:

“Dear Customers,

We have pressed pause on the ASOS website, this is due to a fire in our Barnsley distribution centre in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Thankfully no one was hurt and we expect to be back to normal for you in the next day or so. So please hold on to your orders, we will be back with you soon. ASOS x”

More than 60 firefighters tackled the blaze through the night, which is believed to have spread from the second floor to the third and fourth floors.

In a statement, the company said no new orders were currently being taken and existing orders yet to be shipped, would also be delayed.

Police and fire officers have started an investigation into the cause of the blaze.

The lucky winners will get the chance to work side by side with legendary supermodel and photographer Helena Christensen during a live shoot.

One of the images will be chosen as the final shot for the Warehouse campaign.

On the day of the shoot (22nd March), Warehouse will also be hosting a Fashion Shooters festival in east London, where fashion enthusiasts can enjoy Elle magazine styling zone , photo-read-hair beauty by Toni&Guy and much more.
