1. Cut the guest list
If you invite the people that you and your OH love the most you’re guaranteed the night of your life.

2. Have the ceremony somewhere unusual
If you are into the idea of an outdoor wedding then pick somewhere that means something to you as a couple. That place will be special forever after.

3. Name each reception table
This can add a fun twist and you can make pretty name plates for each table.

4. Have a theme
And be as subtle or blatant as you like!

5. DIY as much as you can.
Nothing beats homemade crafts as party favours or drinking cocktails out of decorated mason jars. So fetch the glitter out and get creative!

We can barely keep up with the whirlwind romance between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, so we wouldn’t be surprised if they got married in secret and didn’t tell us.

Johnny has been spotted wearing a ring on his wedding ring finger following the couple’s glitzy engagement bash in LA at the weekend and rumours are rife that the gorgeous ones have already said ‘I do’.

With the star-studded event attended by their closest friends and family, everything would have in place if they had sprung the big day on them without so much as a Hen party in sight.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star and his 27-year-old beau managed to keep their relationship hush, hush for a few of months after meeting while filming The Rum Diary in 2011, so that crafty pair may have given us the slip once again.

With four engagements, two kids, and one marriage under his belt already, Johnny doesn’t do things by halves, and let’s face it, if we were Amber, we’d be marching him up the aisle at breakneck speed too.

Miss Spears ties the knot in New Orleans wedding

Jamie Lynn Spears has married her fiancé Jamie Watson in a ceremony in New Orleans it was reported.

The couple held their wedding at the Audubon Tea Rooms in the Louisiana city yesterday according to US Weekly.

Jamie’s five-year old daughter, Maddie, was flower girl.

This is 22-year old Jamie’s first marriage, following an unsuccessful engagement with Maddie’s father Casey Aldridge.

Britney was apparently very hands on in the celebrations, even organising a pre-marriage dinner for the two in New Orleans.

Little Mix are “not invited” to Perrie and Zayn’s wedding

Uh-oh, we hope she’s joking!

It looks like Little Mix may not be invited to Perrie and Zayn’s upcoming nuptials.

Perrie opened up about her wedding to OK! magazine saying: “Who said they’re bridesmaids? They’re not even invited!”

She continued speaking about the difficulty she will have in picking her wedding party: “I’ve got such a big family and I know every girl in my family is going to want to be bridesmaid.”

Well, we guess the other Little Mix girls may not get to be bridemaids but we do reckon she is joking about them not being invited!

Still, we can’t imagine anything cuter than if Perrie had all the girls as her bridemaids and Zayn had all of the One Direction lads as groomsmen!

This wedding was paid for completely by Michael Jordan and his wife, making it easily the most expensive ever (excluding royals) coming in at $10 million. The wedding featured a 500,000 square-foot tent.

2. Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries
Estimated at $10 million, Kim and Kris paid next to nothing for this extravagant affair. Wedding suppliers flocked to provide goods and services for free just to be associated with the wedding of the year. Bet they have regrets. Will they come back for her upcoming nuptials to Kanye? Probably.

3. Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin
Held on a $120 million yacht in Genoa, Italy, this famous footballer’s big day came in at $7.7 million.

4. Liza Minelli and David Guest
Held in New York with Michael Jackson as best man, this big day came in at $4.3 million. Stevie Wonder provided entertainment.

5. Elton John and David Furnish
Elton and David got married in 2005 and Elton serenaded his groom. The event reportedly cost $2, 500 per head.

If you thought that these weddings were expensive then you will never believe what the royals spend on theirs!

Kate Middleton and Prince Williams’s wedding was a budget affair at $33 million when compared to Prince Charles and Diana’s wedding which cashed in at $115 million.

Sheika Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum and his bride Sheika Hind Bint Maktoum’s romantic 1979 wedding cost $137 million and was held in Dubai. A hall especially for the event was built for 20,000 people and a five day national holiday was declared.

Bring It On: All or Nothing actress Hayden Panettiere, who is currently starring in ABC’s Nashville, has dished on her recent engagement.

Speaking to wedding magazine, Brides, Hayden reveals that the proposal was “simple, genuine and very sweet”.

The actress met her fiance, boxer Wladimir Klitschko, at a charity event, and describes their first interaction in the interview: “I said ‘your huge’ and he said ‘you’re tiny’! And that was that.”

While she’s being coy about the details, Hayden can’t wait to get hitched and settle into family life: “I’ve always wanted a family. You search and search and search for it, and when it actually happens, I feel like it will give me a sense of calm.”

Man spends his final months making his wife’s dreams come true

When Chris Price from Wales was given only six months to live following a secondary cancer diagnosis, he spent his final few months making his wife, Ceri, happy.

Chris proposed to Ceri and they got married in August 2013. He then whisked her and her four children to Disneyland, Paris. Ceri says: “We did such a lot in those last six months. He was so positive he never talked about dying, he just wanted to see me and the children happy in the time he had left.”

Chris also surprised Ceri with a trip to New York: “he told me he’d arranged a romantic trip to Dublin, but on the way to the airport he told me we were going to New York.”

Chris also planned a trip to Las Vegas for Ceri’s birthday, unfortunately he did not make the trip. Chris passed away six months after their wedding.

Could there be another royal wedding is on the horizon?

It look as if there may be another royal wedding soon!

Although the announcement has yet to be confirmed by Clarence House it has been reported that Prince Harry has begun the protocols associated with a royal proposal.

Reports are saying: “The fact we’re hearing about it means it’s likely he’s already popped the question and they’re waiting until all the boxes are ticked before formally announcing it.”

Harry has been going out with dancer Cressida Bonas for quite a while now so it would be no surprse if the two have decided to take the next step.

You have to be careful not to pick trends over classics because trends are always changing whereas your engagement ring will be the same for many, many years to come.

We picked out a few cuts we think will never go out of fashion. Every woman is different and your engagement ring should reflect who you are – do you see your perfect ring below?

1. Radiant
Wowsa, this looks like it would weigh us down! Of course it doesn’t have to be quite so elaborate but the idea of a radiant cut is that it emits maximum sparkle potential and is designed to stand out and demand attention, perfect!

2. Baguette
Simple and subtle, this baguette cut engagement ring is classic and understated.

3. Trillion
The trillion diamond is most often seen as a side stone rather than the main solitaire. Unique and beautiful!

4. Marquise
Historically designed by King Louis XIV, this cut is striking and has a hint of vintage about it.

5. Colour
Diamonds aren’t for everybody – some girls love something a little different. Sapphires are very popular as engagement rings, especially following Kate Middleton inheritance of Princess Diana’s beautiful sapphire engagement ring. Rubies, emeralds and champagne coloured sapphires are also popular.

6. Vintage/vintage inspired
As we already said, some women prefer something different. Vintage or vintage inspired engagement rings can be beautiful and have historical significance which many people would love.

Kaley takes husband’s name

Everything to do with Kaley Cuoco’s recent marriage seems to be in the fast lane.

Engaged following a three-month relationship to tennis player Ryan Sweeting and married two months later, perhaps it should come as no surprise that she has now officially changed her name on the Big Bang Theory credits also.

Kaley uploaded this photo to her Instagram account depicting a scene from the show with her married name “Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting” on the credits in front of John Galecki who plays her love interest Leonard. FYI she also went out with John for two years – awkward much?

We all LOVE Kaley here at SHEmazing HQ, so we really hope this doesn’t marriage doesn’t go to the special farm where all Hollywood relationships seem to inevitably end up.

DIY whimsical cake stand

Like something out of Alice in Wonderland, cake-stands made with mismatched teacups and plates can add a magical touch to birthdays, baby showers, weddings or even just a girly tea party!

Many second hand stores have great vintage plates and teacups that would be perfect for a project like this and really cheap too. so get thrift-shopping!

To make a cake-stand like the one shown here, simply use a strong glue to bond a plate, facing upwards, to the bottom of a teacup. Repeat to form a 2 or even 3-tier stand. Put your favourite plate on top as this will be where the centrepiece cake will go and won’t be covered by another tier.
