We’ve all seen the video where a woman walks down the street to many cat calls and ‘compliments’ from men. Similarly, we’ve seen men grow aggressive and angry when these compliments go ignored.

So what happens when women accept the compliments given to them by men online? The inevitable it would seem. They go from being a bi*** if they ignore the compliment, to a bi*** if they accept it. That makes sense…or not!

Gwen Bateman decided to conduct a social experiment, giving in to the men that complimented her and accepting their words graciously and owning it, of course.

In a number of Twitter and Tumblr posts, messages between women and men can be seen where the man pays a compliment that is accepted, before turning on her for being full of herself and vain. Sigh…

So the lesson learned here has been…always ignore what any man says on the internet about you because if you don't react in the exact way they want you to, you're going to get called a vain bi***.

Sport England have launched their Girl Can campaign – and it is incredible! Women of all different shapes and sizes take on sport from basketball to dancing and spinning – and nail it, of course!

Featuring slogans like “I jiggle therefore I am”, “hot and not bothered” and “sweating like a pig, feeling like a fox” the video shows the gals killing it to Missy Elliot’s Get Your Freak On.

The aim of the campaign is to encourage women to take up more sport and exercise and to cure the fear of judgment, as Jennie Price of Sport England explained: “We looked very carefully at what women were saying about why they felt sport and exercise was not for them. One of the strongest themes was fear of judgment. Worries about being judged for being the wrong size, not fit enough and not skilled enough came up time and time again. We want to address that.”

We’re not sure about you but that song is definitely going on our workout playlist!

While we all know the importance of a man wearing the correct sized condom, it is essential to know that there IS condom out there for any and every penis size. Some guys need reminding of this!

The next time you hear a guy claim he is ‘too big’ too wear a condom, you need to take a leaf out of this singer’s book.

Zara Larsson, a 17-year-old famous singer from Sweden, shared a hilarious photo on her Instagram account that instantly put all those men in their place. Writing: “To all the guys saying “my dick is too big for condoms” TAKE A SEAT”, the singer shared a photo of a condom put over her foot and pulled halfway up her leg. Brilliant!

And if any guy tries to refute this claim? You may want to bring him to the doctor’s office instead…

Many of us out there will have been given perfume for Christmas while many lucky women already have their ‘signature scent’ chosen – but are we applying our perfume all wrong?

Do you spray your scent on one wrist and then rub it off the other one? All wrong apparently! Do you spray your perfume AFTER you get dressed? Wrong too!

So then, what is the right way to apply your scent and have it last? Here are some tips and advice!

  • Apply your perfume before you put on clothes or jewellery. Not only will the scent absorb into your skin rather than your clothes but you will minimise the risk of staining jewellery and clothes with the perfume.
  • Apply the perfume to your pulse points without rubbing motions: wrists, neck, inside elbow and the back of the knees. It’s advisable to choose two of the pulse points to spritz rather than becoming overpowered by the scent.
  • Your hair can be a great place to spritz some perfume as it is said it hold the scent quite well. However, if you have dry or brittle hair make sure not to overdo it.
  • Your perfume has an expiration date -about a year or so. If you notice a change in how the top notes smell, unfortunately it may be time to bin it. The shelf life of your scent may be altered by how it is stored so ensure it's not in direct sunlight for much of the day.

Use these tips and you will smell like heaven all day, every day – without making your co-workers choke!

While us big-bummed girls love our shapely behinds most of the time, there are certain times in life that make us want to scream.

Like these:

1. Being afraid of accidentally knocking over things in small shops with your backside

2. Finding the perfect jeans only to have THAT annoying gap between your waist and jeans. Every time

3. Buying the cutest dress only to realise you should have gone for the bigger size as your bum makes it waaaay shorter than it should be

4. Skinny jeans making you appear X-rated as you walk down the street – why is causal so damn hard?! And don't even get us started on shorts

5. Your bum cheeks always being a little bit colder than the rest of you because they’re so far away. In fact, your hot water bottle spends most of its time warming your bum cheeks

6. Squeezing between tables in small restaurants. There goes the salt shaker…especially embarrassing if you are in fact the waitress

7. Low rise pants – a recipe for ass crack disaster

8. People singing the ‘I Like Big Butts’ song at you – mostly your friends

9. Having to share a chair with someone – ‘nope only half of one cheek is on’

10. People assuming you can get champagne into a glass that’s resting on your bum

11. The absolute stupidity of same-size bikini top and bottoms that means you are forced to buy two pairs

12. Being compared to Kim Kardashian. Come back J-Lo, all is forgiven. Please…

13. Trying at all costs NOT to squat because you heard that makes it bigger

14. Only working out so that your bum isn’t flapping off the back of your knees by the time you turn 30

15. Having your bum grabbed by morons in nightclubs. So not okay

While we try to always be as honest and open as we can with the people in our lives, there are still some lies we tend to tell from time to time…

1. "I’ll be ready in a minute"

We're going as fast as we can – promise!

2. "I’m fine"

Probably the most well known lie that women tell. We all know its not true. "Fine" is girls-speak for: "if you don’t figure out what’s wrong by yourself in the next 10 seconds you’re in for it." Whatever you’ve done start making up for it now.

3. "It wasn’t that expensive"

It totally was, but we look amazing in it, so no judgement from you ‘Mr I Only Ever Shop in Penneys’. We deserve it every once in a while. We don’t complain to you about those ugly-ass runners that cost a stupid amount of money. Not to your face. We’d like you to do the same.

4. "I don’t mind"

Oh we mind – but we're trying to be nice.

5. "Him? He’s just an old friend"

Erm apart from the year when you were fourteen – but that hardly counts now, right?

6. "I just don’t want to be in a relationship right now"

You're just not her type but she doesn't want to hurt your feelings, soz.

7. "I woke up like this"

Nope, she got up an hour earlier and snuck on some concealer and mascara – boom. Oh that minty fresh breath? It's just natural.

8. "You don’t have to get me anything for my birthday/Christmas/Anniversary"

Yeah, I know, we’re frustrating. She says it but you’ve got this niggling feeling that that can’t be right and you’re correct. No way will she be pleased if you come up empty handed. If you do and you say: "But you told me you didn’t want anything." You’re supposed to smarter than this.

9. "I’m not jealous"

She’s jealous. Probably while you two are out in a bar and some sweet young thing sidles up next to you and starts getting a bit too friendly. She wants you but you’re taken. Act like it.

10. "It was so annoying, they wouldn’t stop hitting on me"

It wasn’t annoying, she loved it. The only reason she’s even mentioning it is because she wants to get a reaction out of you. Like jealous rage and confessions of undying devotion. It never works because if you don’t act jealous she’ll get annoyed and if you act too jealous then you’re being the insecure annoying one. It’s a lose-lose move, if only we’d stop saying it…

11. "Sure, go on have fun"

It’s not that she doesn’t want you to have fun, she  does. But just doesn’t enjoy the idea of you having fun without her. She’s not going to stop you but you’re going to have to tell her how much you wish she could have been there. And you missed her. And she’s great.

We all have those messages on our phone that for whatever reason when we’re clearing our inboxes they manage to make the cut.

Here’s a list of 5 of the most common messages girls keep on their phones, no matter what!

1. Funny Messages From Your Bestfriend
Those weird conversations with your best friend that no one else would understand that just make you laugh every time you read back over them..

2. Messages That May Be Needed In The Future
These messages may be needed in the future as proof when someone denies saying something, you can whip out those messages as proof. Girls remember everything.

3. Cute Message From Your Granny
The fact she managed to send one successfully without sending it to the milkman by mistake is reason enough to keep it. She probably was wishing you good luck in your exams and telling you she lit a candle. It's also probably all in capital letters because she doesn’t know how to turn them off. She also signs her initials at the end – cute!

4. Messages From The Guy You Like
The sweet message from that one time 2 months ago when he wasn’t acting like a complete arse.

5. Messages For Cheaplist/Guestlist For Your Favourite Nightclub
Who would be bothered signing up and sending invites to get guestlist to your favourite club every week when instead you could just keep the same message to show at the door every week

There is some seriously feel-good Friday news just in as it has been revealed that Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi have won this year’s Nobel peace prize!

The 17-year-old education rights activist was shot in the head by a gunman in 2012 on a school bus in Pakistan but amazingly survived and went on to become a great campaigner for women’s educational rights in her home country.

Malala first gained public attention as a blogger for the BBC at the age of 11, detailing her life under Taliban rule in Pakistan.

She is the youngest Nobel laureate in history and won alongside Indian children’s rights activist, Kailash Satyarthi. His organization, Bachpan Bachao Andolan, has freed over 80,000 children from slavery and servitude and re-educated and rehabilitated them.

It’s so great to hear that Malala’s efforts and struggles in the process of getting her message across have finally been recognised!

Well done to to Malala and Kailash – so well deserved!

There’s a lot of myths and mysteries, and even weird fantasies that guys have about girls out there. Some of these questions, they're just too damn nervous or afraid to ask the girls, but here’s the most common ones!

1. Do sexy pillow fights at slumber parties really happen?
Guys actually believe we prance around in our underwear throwing pillows. It couldn't be further from the truth but we won't ruin it for them.

2. When with their friends, do girls talk about how good their boyfriend is at sex?
Sure, and also how bad or weird it is too!

3. Has every girl had that quasi-lesbian experience at some stage in their life?
Some girls have, some girls haven't but guys love to think we ALL have (and would again).

4. Where do girls go to fart?
Most men have never heard a peep out of girls, and they want to know how?! Just because you can't control your (gross) bodily functions, doesn't mean we can't!

5. Do girls think that size really does matter?
There are so many things to consider before answering a question like that – but the bottom line is no.

6. Do girls enjoy cheesy pickup lines?
They might make us laugh which is definitely in your favour but don't use them seriously.

7. Does your “lady time” really have THAT much of an effect on your mood, or is it just an excuse to act out?
Boys would NEVER have the gall to actually ask this which means they already know the answer.

Men sometimes take us too literally – we often don' say what we mean. Okay, maybe that makes it our fault. Here is a list of things women say in an argument that can often throw the opposite sex.

1. "It’s not what you said, it’s the way you said it"
We realise now we may have over-reacted but we're hardly going to admit that are we?

2. "Do What You Want!"
You better do exactly what you think you should do and most definitely NOT what you want.

3. "I Don’t Care What You Do"
We really do care.

What do you wanna eat?. .. It is simple. "What do you want?" "I don't know" "Fine, I'll choose." "I don't want that." "Nuh-uh you don't get to

4. "I’m Sorry You Feel That Way"
Ya, sorry you feel the wrong way.

5. "I Don’t Want to Talk About It"
Your move punk.

6. "Typical!"
She’s being thinking you’re a bit of an eejit for a while now

7. "How Can You Not See Why I’m Mad?"
Do I have to cry for you to realise that?

8. "I’m Not Mad, I’m Just Upset"
The girlfriend equivalent of when a parent says: "We're not mad, just a little disappointed."

9. Just be Sorry. "BUT YOU’RE NOT SORRY, STOP LYING."
Are you…are you? SMILING?! Get out now.

10. "It’s Fine."
You may as well move out because it is sooooo not fine.
