Disney World is a bucket list adventure that many of us want to tick off. However, due to the high cost of the transatlantic flight, it is but a dream for most of us.

Well, it was until WOW Air stepped up!  If you're free to fly between January and March 2019, you'll be able to avail of their really cheap flights to Orlando.

The airline announced today that they will operate flights to Orlando, Florida from Dublin, via Reykjavik, beginning this December.

The new route will operate three times a week from 18 December to the end of April, and passengers can now fly from Dublin to Orlando, with a short layover in Reykjavik, Iceland.

And to celebrate, they are offering flights for just €129.99 on select dates. 

"We are delighted to offer our Irish passengers a new and exciting North American destination. The addition of Orlando to our flight network reflects our commitment to continually improve our offering for our Irish passengers," Svanhvít Fridriksdóttir, Director of Communications at WOW Air, said.

"With the high number of theme and water parks in the city, Orlando is known as one of the best destinations in the world for family holidays.

"However, what people may not know is that Orlando has a range of great options for those travelling solo, as couples or in groups. There are more than a 150 golf courses, innovative ecotourism adventures, world class shopping and nightlife, and a range of culture and art to discover.

Orlando is best known as the home of several world-famous theme parks including Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando Resort and SeaWorld Orlando.

The city also offers shopping options that encapsulate everything from factory outlets and malls to bespoke boutiques and downtown stores, as well as a range of museums, theatres and cultural attractions.

Orlando enjoys great weather year-round with average December highs of 23 degrees Celsius.

WOW air added flights to Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, St Louis and Dallas earlier in 2018 and now flies to fifteen North American destinations from Dublin.

WOW Air has just opened up a new flight route from Dublin to JFK Airport in The Big Apple, via the Icelandic capital Reykjavik.,

The new route will be in operation from April 26, but the best part about this news has got to be the price.

One-way flights to NYC are going for as low as €129.99.

Flights will be scheduled seven days a week, so you can pick and choose when you want to jet off to the big city. 

The airline already flies into New York Newark, and it will increase the number of weekly flights to 13 from May 29 2018 on this route.

The budget Icelandic airline have announced flights from Ireland to Canada for a measly €150 each way to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday.

All flights have stopovers in Reykjavik, and the final destinations include Toronto and Montreal.

'Canada’s 150th birthday celebration falls on 1 July, Canada Day, which marks the enactment of the Constitution Act of 1867 which united the three separate colonies of Canada, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick,' said WOW in a statement.

'Ireland ranks 11th in the world for Canadian work permits and 27th for residency permits.'

A mini-break to San Francisco or a last-minute trip to Boston might sound totally out of the question given your post-Christmas bank balance, but with prices like these you might just be able to make it work.

WOW air have just launched brand new routes between Dublin and USA/Canada, with fares starting at €199 one way including taxes and charges.

The Icelandic airline operates all flights with a stopover in Reykjavik, their main transport hub, and it's the first low-cost airline to offer transatlantic routes out of Ireland.

WOW currently flies to Boston and Washington DC, and will offer regular flights to LA and San Francisco from June, plus Toronto and Montréal from May.

"This is a game changer for WOW air, and arguably the travel industry, making travel to the US and Iceland both easy and affordable from Ireland," said WOW's founder Skuli Mogensen of the new routes.

"We are thrilled to add Los Angeles and San Francisco to our fast growing network."

As well as the North American destinations, WOW also flies from Dublin to Reykjavik for €95 one way, which is handy if you're planning a trip to Airwaves festival in the Icelandic capital this year.
