Things are getting a little bit heated in the X-Factor judges tent now that Cheryl Fernandez-Versin is back on the show.

First on Cheryl's agenda was Spice Girls’ Mel B who was mocked as “Softie Spice” for her kindness to the contestants.

Then she turned on Louis Walsh, upping the ante on the standard insult of two-faced – calling him “50-faced”. That’s a lot of faces, even for Louis.

Cheryl's next victim wasn’t the final judge, Simon Cowell, but the audience!

Booing her for her choice of which 6 contestants to bring to the Judges house, Cheryl blew a raspberry shouting, “Oh boo you!”

"If I had six girls who all sang amazingly it would be boring to watch.”

"I want characters, I want personality.”

Yikes. Hopefully she’s a bit friendlier to the contestants she did pick.

The X Factor 2014 judges have learnt of their fate as they've been told which categories they'll be mentoring when the show hits our screens!

Cheryl Cole looked nervous as she awaited the big decision on Friday night but she needn't have worried as she's bagged her favourite category – the girls!

Cheryl is said to be absolutely thrilled with the result!

The newlywed is already confident she's got this year's winner in her group and has apparently vowed to make it her mission to win. 

We don't doubt you Cheryl!

Simon has been landed with his least favourite category – the over-25s. Poor Simon…*snigger. 

That leaves Louis handling the groups in the hope he can find next One Direction, while Mel B will be mentoring about the boys.

Bring it on!

Tulisa has had a tough year by anyone’s standards, and her next move certainly won’t be making her life any easier.

In an effort to get out from under the shadow of her drugs trial, Tulisa has been tipped to join this year’s line up of celebs entering the jungle in I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

I’m a Celebrity has more of a reputation for reviving flagging careers than other celebrity reality shows – with Myleen Klass and Katie Price is particular making good of their appearances.

It’s also known for featuring people you might actually have heard of, a rarity in “celebrity” shows. We’re looking at you, Celebrity Big Brother.

This jungle move might be a bid to raise her profile coming up a return to the X-Factor judging panel. Tulisa was fired by Simon Cowell two years ago, but recently he opened the door for her return.

“Tulisa’s been through a rough time and has come through it.” Simon said. “I think she deserves a break now. I think she’s got a lot of opportunities ahead of her.”

Oooooh it’s not long now before The X Factor hits our screens!

The live auditions are underway right now, and new judge Mel B wasted no time in taking to Instagram to share a sneak peek with fans.

She posted a snap with Cheryl Cole, captioning the snap, “Me and home girl Cheryl acting up on set right now wow it’s been along long day”.

Mel B also shared a snap of herself with Louis Walsh – who is pulling a pretty questionable facial expression we must say.

“Yep 12:30am and we are still auditioning Xfactor,” Mel B captioned the picture.

No rest for the fabulous!

Tulisa Contostavlos is to make a return to The X Factor!

The singer has reportedly been thrown a lifeline by Simon Cowell, who has invited her back on the show.

Now that is something to tune in for! 

Tulisa left the judging panel two years ago but now Simon has opened the door for her to return in the later stages of this year’s show.

Simon said, “Tulisa’s been through a rough time and has come through it. I think she deserves a break now. I think she’s got a lot of opportunities ahead of her.”

Louis Walsh also gave Tulisa his seal of approval and wants her to mentor his acts during the judges’ houses stage.

Louis said, “I have spoken to Tulisa. I totally support her. I spent so much time in her dressing room, I know who the real Tulisa is. She’s not Mother Teresa but she’s a lovely girl.

“She’s rough around the edges but she’s a good girl. I like her. I ­definitely would have her at judges’ houses. She’ll bounce back.”

Oh Simon! It seems the mean mogul felt the need to share his two cents on Cheryl’s latest nuptials.

When Cowell was questioned on Cheryl’s swift marriage to Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini. He admits like us he was surprised, but not for the same reasons.

"I'm surprised Cheryl has found someone to be with her full time as she's such high maintenance."

We’re sure he’s joking, as earlier that day he said some rather nice things about Chezza.

"Cheryl is the happiest I have ever seen her. Her new husband is a great guy."

Awww, that is quite sweet. Still Simon should probably keep his opinions on Cheryl’s love life, to himself.

It’s no secret that Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole don’t exactly see eye to eye!

But now Louis insists that their feud is over, and it looks like her new hubby might have something to do with it!

Cheryl is said to have fought with Simon Cowell over having Louis return to The X Factor, and even said in an interview on The Graham Norton Show that they didn’t get on. 

But now Louis said those days are all behind them.

“We’re getting on really well now,” Louis said.

Louis said that Cheryl’s hubby Jean Bernard Fernandez Versini is a “good influence” on his fellow X Factor judge.

“He seems to be a very good influence on her. She seems to have calmed down a lot and seems really happy with her life,” Louis said. “He’s a nice guy.”

Jean Bernard had even tried to teach Louis French over dinner, X Factor producer Mark Sidaway revealed.

“Met him at the Newcastle auditions. Top fella. We shared a Chinese take away as he tried to teach Louis French,” he wrote on Twitter.

Cher Llyod has apologised countless times for her “bratty” behaviour on the X Factor, and now it seems that she wants to take her new mature attitude, to her style as well.

Cher has said goodbye to the tracksuits and trainers and has gone for a more classic look in her latest fashion spread. Cher says that she now feels she can finally be herself.

“I’m much more comfortable and confident with my look and style now. When I was on The X Factor I couldn’t 100% be myself. I felt like I was being pulled and tugged in different directions. I felt that I wasn’t good enough and had self-confidence issues.”

The singer revealed that she didn’t know what she was going on the X Factor and followed everyone else’s direction when it came to her look.

“Everyone was saying ‘you should wear this’, and it was confusing. I was OK before – I was the sort of girl who didn’t really care what people thought of me, so to be put in that position on the show was quite difficult. I’m 21 very soon, so I’ve grown up at lot since I was 16!”

Well Cher has certainly grown, and we’re loving her new attitude and style as a result of it.

Nicole Scherzinger has made what sounds like another dig at The X Factor.

The singer was speaking to The Daily Mirror when she spoke about the reality TV show, saying: “I won’t be watching The X Factor.”

Realising what she said may be taken up wrong, Nicole backtracked, saying: “That’s not a dig against the X Factor – I just don’t watch television.”

Hmm, we’re not so sure, Nicole!

Meanwhile, the star has also said that she was hurt by Simon when he did not acknowledge the work she put into the job: “I was hurt by [the X Factor bosses] didn’t recognise the hard work I put into it. I never spoke to Simon and he never talked to me about it. I don’t know if he understood how hard I worked. I loved my job and I’m proud of the work I did on it.”

Poor Nicole, it sounds as if she may have wanted to make a comeback on this year’s show.

The text that Cheryl Cole sent to Simon after learning she had been fired by The X Factor US has been revealed!

Cheryl told Elle UK that she sent the music mogul a message that read: “F*** you, F*** Fox, F*** the orange and purple outfit. F*** the big hair. F*** the UK X Factor. F*** you all. I hate you.”

Er, wow! It looks as if Cheryl and Simon have worked out their differences now however, as Cheryl has officially returned to her seat on The X Factor judging panel.

Poor Cheryl, it looks as if she really went through a hard time after being let go from The X Factor US.

Cheryl also told the magazine that she felt as if her life had taken a turn for the worst, saying: “I thought I had every box ticked, career and personal. I was the first to get married. I was the one everyone thought would be the first to have a baby. And then the rug got pulled out from under me.”
