Cher Lloyd had a bit of an awkward moment on a red carpet in the US recently.

The singer, who rose to fame on the UK X Factor, was walking a red carpet in America when her publicist was spotted behind her holding up a sign with her name on it so waiting photographers and interviewers would know who she was!

Eek, perhaps her quest to break the US music market isn’t going so well after all.

It was also recently announced that the star had married her long term love, Craig Monk, in a private ceremony recently.

Little Mix star admits to “weird” eating habits

Jade Thirlwall, member of Little Mix, has claimed that she has “weird” eating habits.

The singer spoke about how it takes her a long time to eat a meal and this may be to thank for her slender figure.

Jade said: “I literally take a year to eat a meal because I eat such tiny portions … I guess I do get fuller quicker because I eat slower. I’m just a very weird eater, I think.”

The Little Mix singer also spoke of her admiration for her bandmate, Jesy’s, figure: “Jesy has the most amazing body – I’d do anything to have that figure.”

TV star in secret talks about joining the X Factor judging panel

Alesha Dixon is in secret talks about joining the X Factor judging panel.

The Britain’s Got Talent star is said to be seen as a good choice to switch shows and join Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell on the panel.

Alesha is already part of the Syco family so it wouldn’t be such a big leap.

Cheryl and Alesha are said to get on like a house on fire too so there are no problems there.

However, it seems show bosses are said to be divided on the idea because they don’t want to split up the BGT panel as Alesha, Simon, David Walliams and Amanda Holden, work well as a team.

Only time will tell!

X Factor star is left terrified after drive-by shooting

X Factor star Rebecca Ferguson was said to be shocked and terrified after her children’s grandfather and uncle were shot.

Karl Dures, 51, was hit in the leg and 27-year-old Craig Dures was shot in the face as they stood on a street corner in Merseyside. Rebecca dated Karl’s son – also called Karl – and had two children with him.

Both men were in hospital at the weekend as the 2010 X Factor runner-up Rebecca, 27, performed on her European tour in Cologne.

Rebecca has said bricklayer Karl, who she met him on holiday in 2003, was her “first love”.

They split before she appeared on the X Factor but his family took their two children, then five and four, to London to watch her perform live.

Rebecca said afterwards, “It was hard splitting from Karl because I think you should always try to stay together when you’ve got children.

“It’s not easy being a single mum but I have a very good, civil relationship with Karl. He lives locally and is an active father.”

Three people were reportedly arrested in Manchester on Saturday in connection with the shooting.

Winner of the 2012 X-Factor James Arthur has reportedly been fired by Syco Records boss Simon Cowell.

It seems James has pushed things too far with his latest lyrics, which make a reference to a terrorist act, and Simon is said to have lost patience with the Impossible singer.

In mixtape track Follow The Leader James raps, “Look at what you do to me, I’m crying over stupid s***, you’re such a f***ing homophobe, wish I’d never let you in, to think that I was thinking maybe I should let you live, I’m gonna blow up your family like I’m a terrorist.”

James has already taken to Twitter to defend the lyrics, saying they are actually taken from a letter from a “demented fan”.

“The song “follow the leader” from the mixtape is not promoting terrorism, it’s a story, a reciting of a Stan Esc letter from a demented fan,” he tweeted.

But boss man Simon is said to be done giving the X-Factor star any more chances and has called time on his record deal.

Which Girls Aloud singer won’t be joining Cheryl on the X Factor?

It seems that Sarah Harding won’t be joining fellow Girls Aloud’s singer, Cheryl Cole on the X Factor judging panel this year.

The singer shared her opinions on the rumours that she was joining the 2014 X Factor judging panel, after a fan tweeted a message saying how great it was that Sarah was going to work on the show.

To which Sarah replied to the fan: “Err… Do NOT believe everything u read people!!!”

The rumours started that Harding might be joining the panel after Sarah joked with a reporter that it would be fun to work with Cheryl.

“Can you imagine me versus Cheryl?! I think it would be good fun. Me and Cheryl always have great banter on stage and she loves grabbing my bum and giving me a snog. She is terrible.”

Simon and Cheryl have already been confirmed for the 2014 X Factor panel but we are still awaiting to hear who will take the other two judging spots.

X Factor winner, Sam Bailey was so delighted that she had topped the UK charts that she decided to celebrate, with a food fight.

The mother-of-two was performing at the London club G-A-Y where she was presented on stage with a cake to congratulate her album The Power of Love, reaching no.1 in the charts.

But instead of digging into the massive cake, the X Factor winner decided to instead have a massive cake fight backstage.

The 36-year-old singer was completely covered in cake after the fight but didn’t seem to mind as she tweeted later how much she enjoyed it.

“My first and ever Cake fight!!!! Loved it so muchxx.”

And as if being No.1 wasn’t enough, Sam learnt that night that supermodel, Naomi Campbell was a fan of her music.

Naomi made a surprise visit on stage to congratulate the singer’s success but this was before the cake fight, took place of course.

Simon is in secret talks with super star to be ‘shock’ X-Factor judge

Simon Cowell is said to be going all out to lure super star Rihanna into joining The X Factor as his fourth ‘ shock’ judge.

RiRi arranged a secret meeting with Simon this week after flying into London yesterday, and the music supremo is said to be desperate to sign her up for the show.

Simon has a mere two months to fill that last judging chair and believes the Rude Boy singer would bring a certain edge to the show

Maybe Rihanna’s good pal Cheryl Cole can convince her to join the panel as Simon has promised her a big say in the decision.

All this teaser talk about who the last judge will be is pure torture, and names such as Joss Stone, Ellie Goulding, Mel B and Black Eyed Peas star Fergie have also been circulating.

Just put us out of our misery Simon.

X-Factor star ditches his PR on Twitter and offers fans the job

It might be wise for James Arthur to stay off social media for a while for the sake of his career.

The X-Factor winner has now dumped his PR on Twitter and asked his fans to apply for the job.

James left Twitter last year after a string of cringe incidents, leaving his management to take over the account.

But it seems he is unhappy with their representation – in particular, the overuse of excited hashtags, and decided to take matters into his own hands.

Arthur tweeted, “HQ please stop writing things like “we think you would #LOVE This and that” or “everybody #GETDOWN and buy this…”

The Impossible singer went on to offer his fans the PR job tweeting, “This job is now going to an actual fan. Who wants the HQ job? #LOVE.”

He also invited his followers to design the album cover for his upcoming mix tape All The World’s A Stage.

“Seeing as though I’m doing this for the fans and I’m not charging for it I would like you to design the front cover,” he said.

Simon is determined to keep Cheryl happy

It seems that Cheryl is calling all the shots when it comes to the new X Factor series, as Simon wants to ensure that 30-year-old singer is happy with everything that is going on the reality music show.

Cowell is said to be keeping his promise to Cole and is making sure she is having say on everything. This includes who will be joining her and Simon on the judging panel to who she gets to mentor and reports have revealed that she wants the groups.

Simon has already said whoever will be joining the panel would be decided between Cheryl and him: “When Cheryl came back, we decided we’d agree together. I’m not going to put someone beside her who she hates.”

Rumours have been circulating that Fergie or Ellie Goulding could be joining the X Factor judging panel but nothing has been confirmed yet.

But whoever is joining the panel, Cheryl is determined to win and is even enlisting the help of her old band mates Kimberley Walsh and Sarah Harding to help select the next X Factor winner.

It seems Simon Cowell is eager to get Ellie Goulding onto the X Factor panel but has left the decision up to Cheryl Cole.

Talking to The Sun, a source said: ‘Simon has given Cheryl the final sign-off on the new female judge because he wants her to work with someone she gets along with.’

However, the 27-year-old is not the only contender, as Cheryl has also put forward a few of her own suggestions including Fergie, Amanda Ghost and Sia Furler.

Apparently, according to reports, Fergie is well aware that she is being considered and an insider said: “Fergie is aware she’s being lined up. She and Simon will have to announce the decision by mid-May.”

Unfortunately, Ellie is pretty busy at the moment, what with an eight week US tour coming up and a third album to be getting on with, so it seems the rumours will keep on circling, for a while at least.

James Arthur outdoes Rylan Clark on the fake tan

It seems James Arthur has been taking a few make-up tips from Rylan Clark but went a little over board.

The X Factor contestants were photographed together backstage at ITV’s This Morning but James looked a tad on the orange side.

The Get Down singer showed us all just how little his knowledge is in applying tan as his hands were clearly missed.

Unfortunately, the 2012 X Factor winner has not been helping himself lately and has been involved in a few Twitter spats.

The Impossible singer slated One Direction on the social media site before posting a homophobic slur to a rapper and labelling his fellow contestant Lucy Spraggan a “two-faced fickle attention seeker”.

It seems that even Simon Cowell is not happy with him and after James called all the X factor winner “muppets”, the music mogul said: “I think James, unfortunately, has had so many issues with what he has done publicly – which is a real issue with me. Somebody should have told him to shut up and just put the records out.”
