Irish YouTuber Seán McLoughlin, who has almost 21 MILLION subscribers, has now become one of the video platform's highest paid stars, according to Forbes.

The 28-year-old, who is known to his many followers as Jacksepticeye, earned a whopping €14 million from mid-2017 until May 2018.

This means that the star is number eight in the publication's top 10 highest earners.

Hailing from Athlone, Seán McLoughlin has been uploading reviews and commentaries on video games for nearly seven years, and in total his videos have been viewed over 10 billion times.

He refers to his own videos as  an “assault on the senses” that people “either love or hate”, and says using curse words is a major key to his success, weirdly enough.

“The more you swear the better. People react very positively to that, apparently.” Strange… but very Irish.

McLoughlin has made a Disney series despite the dodgy bad language, and is developing content for the live-streaming platform Twitch.

He has also launched Cloak, a a “high-end athleisure and lifestyle line for gamers”, with Mark Fischbach (YouTube name Markiplier), who is number six on Forbes' list.

Pre-sale items in the range sold out in 48 hours, but our question is why do gamers need sporty clothing?

Ryan, of Ryan ToysReview, has over 17 million followers and almost 26 billion views. Oh, and he’s also seven years old. The child millionaire earned most of his money from adverts shown before his videos.

Wow…2018 is a wild ride. Baby millionaires, people who film dead bodies earning a fortune and video-gamers forking in €14 million from their laptops.

It has come to our attention that women on Instagram are giving themselves nose jobs from wax alone, and we simply have to find out the suss.

We ended up discovering a whole new category of beauty videos online, and the before versus after images of these ladies will BLOW YOUR MIND.

Needless to say, these gals are stunning before and after, but the entire process of changing the whole face with wax is just too damn fascinating to look away.

They literally change their eye colour, their bone structure, their noses and eyes with lashes, it's mind-boggling.

We are witnessing a total deconstruction of the face before our very eyes, people. This is science, don't even try to deny it.

"HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?", we hear you gasp. Well, it's actually special effects face wax, not clay or synthetics at all.

The newest trend has gone totally viral on social media, unsurprisingly.

The amazing wax method originates from Asia, specifically in Chinese territories, where women have been using make-up to sculpt their faces with wax as part of their beauty regimen.

Ben Nye, an LA-based makeup manufacturer is one such company who make the DIY wax.

“You can change the shape of anything on your face, like the nose, brow bone, chin, etc., using a wax like Ben Nye Nose & Scar Wax,” professional makeup artist Lottie told Cosmopolitan.

Now, sculpting your face with chunks of wax every morning as part of your make-up routine may not exactly be your vibe, but we guarantee some of your friends would agree to try this.

It's like an extreme form of contouring, how did they even think to try this?

It can't be denied that the videos are incredibly entertaining to watch, regardless of whether or not you'd try the trend yourself.

The rest of the world can now witness the glory of this magic, we owe Youtube and Instagram our lives for this.

While it might be a bit of a morbid hobby, watching true crime documentaries is a pretty popular pastime – and there is no better way to pass the time on Halloween.

YouTube is full of some of the best murder films, from the old and grainy, to the most recent and cutting edge.

Here are a few to add to your true crime repertoire:

8. I don't like Mondays

This documentary covers the notorious case of teenage killer Brenda Spencer, who was behind the tragic Cleveland Elementary School shooting in 1979.

The then 16-year-old was found guilty of the murder of two people in the shooting, and of the wounding of nine.

When asked why she committed the heinous crime, she simply replied "I don't like Mondays," which inspired the song I Don't Like Mondays by Irish band The Boomtown Rats.

7. The Case Of: Jonbenét Ramsey

This two-part documentary covers the mysterious murder of child beauty pageant winner JonBenet Ramsey.

The exploratory documentary features multiple interviews and explores various possibilities in the infamous whodunit.

6. The Secrets of the Austrian Cellar

This harrowing and eery documentary covers the crimes of uber-creep Joseph Fritzl, who kept his own daughter locked away in an underground cellar for 24 years.

During this time, he committed a range of horrendous crimes against her and ended up fathering seven children with her.

This disturbing documentary is a tough watch.

5. Jonestown

Jonestown was the nickname for a compound called the Peoples Temple Agricultural Project formed by the Peoples Temple, an American cult which was around in the 1970s.

The cult gained notoriety in 1978 when 918 members were mass murdered and committed mass suicide on the same day by cyanide poisoning.

4. The Smiley Face Killers

The smiley face murder theory is a theory which connects a number of unsolved murders in the USA.

All of the victims bodies were found near the symbol of a smiley face, and this documentary explores the theory in full, and looks at the various murders.

3. Stalking Amanda Todd: The Man in the Shadows

This chilling film documents the story of teenager Amanda Todd, who committed suicide after being cyber bullied.

The teen was blackmailed by an online predator, and this documentary follows the hunt to find the man responsible.

2. Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son about his Father

The internet is a weird and wonderful place, and from fan fiction about your favourite boy band to flat earth conspiracy theories, everyone can find a little slice of strange internet culture to call home.

YouTube plays host to some of the most popular content on the world wide web, and among the Gucci bag unboxings and clickbait storytime videos, there are niche communities of viewers following creators who talk about true crimes that shook society.

The creators ensure that their videos are educational, not exploitative of the victims and their families, and tell the stories of real horror that men, women and families have faced throughout history. Here's a roundup of the crime documenters we're following this Halloween:

Kendall Rae

Kendall Rae is one of the OG True Crime Youtubers. She has discussed many cases of strange disappearances, and has covered solved mysteries and conspiracy theories. She also discusses crimes like hazing and stalking.

Most notably, Kendall has a series called Where Is? which focuses on missing people.

Through this series, Kendall promotes a line of merchandise, and 100% of the profits from the sale of the merchandise goes to Thorn – a project set up by Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher which focuses on creating new and innovative technology to combat the world of child sex trafficking.

Eleanor Neale

Eleanor started out online as a beauty blogger, creating stunning makeup looks on her channel.

The 19-year-old then branched into making true crime videos, compiling all of the informations he could source on a criminal case, and brining it into the public eye via her channel, which boasts 271,000 followers.

She specialises in solved cases, bringing the viewer full circle through a murder case and out the other side. She also runs a humour channel at Eleanor Neale 2.

Caitlin Rose

Caitlin is a psychology student based in the UK, and while she does explore true crime on her channel, a stand out element of her content is her series on unethical psychological experiments which have been conducted throughout history.

Cailtlin has covered Milgram's Obedience Study, The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment and The Minnesota Starving Experiment so far, along with notorious murder cases of serial killers like H.H.Holmes and the Oakland County child killer.

If you need a little lift after all the horror, Caitlin also makes vlogs about university, college advice videos and fashion content.

Mile Higher Podcast

The Mile Higher Podcast hosted by husband and wife duo Josh Thomas and Kendall Rae, whose name you may recognise from earlier.

The videos are shot podcast style, with Kendall and Josh discussing topics into microphones.

The couple mostly focus on scary conspiracy theories like the legitimacy of the moon landing and the death of Princess Diana, but they also talk in depth about mysterious deaths and famous missing cases.

Georgia Marie

Georgia is a UK-based lifestyle influencer, but midweek she moonlights as a true crime connoisseur.

Georgia creates a series called Midweek Mysteries,, in which she talk about everything from famous bizarre deaths to historic cases.

She focuses mostly on unsolved mysteries, and presents viewers with the theories about what happened to the victims in each instance.

Danelle Hallan

Danelle specialises in raising awareness for missing people through her YouTube videos.

She runs a specific Missing Persons series which talks viewers through the last few days of a person missing under mysterious circumstances, and gives her followers the right contact information so if they know anything about the victim, they can get in touch with authorities.

Danelle has also created a Jane and John Doe series, in which she describes Jane and John Doe cases to her viewers, hoping someone will recognise these poor deceased individuals so that they can be named and reunited with their families.

The Youtuber reveals at the start of the video that a lot of people say that she resembles Helena Bonham Carter.

So this year, she finally gave in and decided to take on the look.

And don't worry if you're artistically challenged, Helen explains that the transformation is easy enough to achieve, as Bellatrix just looks like a bit "skank".

The Youtuber nails every element of the character from the red lippy, to the black stained teeth and curly hair.

Helen recommends a paler foundation to channel your inner Bellatrix and some brown contact lenses, a wig and a witchy dress.

Even if you have no intention of dressing up this Halloween, Helen is utterly hilarious and her Harry Potter impressions are gas, so it's definitely one to watch – you're welcome.

You might remember them as your favourite brother-sister duo on TV: Josh and Megan.

We obsessed over Megan's evil tricks, and laughed at her and Josh's family dynamic all the way throughout our own childhoods.

You also probably still remember Josh’s iconic hushed whisper of “Megan….” whenever she played one of her iconic pranks on his character in the Nickelodeon show Drake and Josh.

drake and josh kiss GIF

This video by Los Angeles vlogger David Dobrik showing the two reuniting will honestly make you explode with nostalgia.

In the video, Dobrik is seen telling Josh Peck that he has a present “from Josh’s sister”, meaning Megan, of course.

After opening the gift from his little sis, Peck’s face was met with a pan full of whipped cream. Clearly, Miranda Cosgrove wasn’t finished playing pranks on her gullible Drake & Josh big bro. Never change, Megan, you evil genius.

When the two meet, it’s clear how delighted they both are to see each other after a whopping four year gap: “This is both of my worlds colliding! You look like a grown-up!” Josh exclaims.

Miranda responds by telling him, “You look good, boob.” Classic Megan.

Josh also jokingly told Miranda that he was “sorry I didn't invite you to my wedding. Thank you for not tweeting about it.”

There was MAJOR wedding-related drama last year regarding Josh not inviting Drake Bell to his nuptials to long-term girlfriend Paige O’Brien.

Bell was upset he didn’t get an invite from his Nickelodeon brother, and tbh so were we.

Apparently the drama has since died down, and the two are now getting along nicely. We hope…

Josh and Miranda marked the occasion with matching Instagram snaps, because if there isn’t photographic evidence these days, did it really happen?

Shane Dawson is quickly becoming the king of Youtube documentary, or as it's known docuseries

Shane's intimate style of storytelling, relatability and empathetic approach to Bunny Meyer (grav3yardgirl) and the queen, Jeffree Star, earned him millions upon millions of views.

Fans ranted and raved about just how good the series had been, and it's true, Shane captured and exposed the beautiful human side of the highly successful Youtubers and reminded us all, that they were in fact, human.

A post shared by Shane Dawson (@shanedawson) on

So it has absolutely floored us that the 30-year-old has missed the mark so badly with the Jake Paul series.

It has nothing to do with Jake Paul himself, but rather the way Shane approaches mental health, and in particular sociopaths.

Shane has released four of the eight part series and while a lot of people have said his latest video completely turned the series around – the aroma of the sh*t show he caused, still lingers.

The biggest question mark is that Shane is very open with his own battles with his mental health – so why on earth would he want to add to the stigma surrounding mental health?

Time and time again, Shane reiterates throughout his videos that he isn't branding Jake as a sociopath.

But even with his feeble attempts to disclaimer it, it doesn't take away from the real fact that it's dangerous and irresponsible to even suggest the idea.

Shane has no qualifications that could allow him to make that sort of call about someone – and he's spreading this message to MILLIONS of people.

I understand that he has said it's for entertainment purposes, but mental health shouldn't be glossed up with some Hollywood drama.

Anyone who lives with a mental health disorder knows the reality of their disorder – unglamorous, unapologetic and relentless.

And, when you're talking about mental health, you have a responsibility to report it accurately and with sensitivity.

The third part of the series, titled: The Dark Side of Jake Paul, Shane simply relies on videos that have been uploaded to Youtube to prove a point, he uses clips and Instagram images of Logan and Jake Paul to fit the narrative of a sociopath.

The therapist Kati Morton creates this monster like image of sociopaths, it really demonises a serious mental health disorder.

The real kicker comes as they dramatise and exaggerate the stat that one in 25 are sociopaths. This information has been widely publicised after the book, The Sociopath Next Door was released.

However, in an older edition of a book, DSM-IV, it stated that the prevalence of Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD) in a population sample is about 3 percent for males and about 1 percent for females.

Furthermore, the book highlights that just because someone has APD doesn't mean that they are a sociopath.

And while I'm a huge fan of Shane and really respect his work – editorially, he's a genius, his edits and montages are some of the best on Youtube.

His latest series has been extremely self-indulgent – you could watch from the Enemies of Jake Paul and skip the first three videos because it's 90 percent of Shane just speculating, with no real evidence.

I would actually advise anyone who hasn't watched the first three – not to bother. – You'll do yourself a favour by missing the demonisation of sociopaths.

If these series have done anything – it's shown us how not to talk about a mental health disorder.

Our favourite ginger, Ed Sheeran sat down with Dermot O'Leary to talk all things Éire.

Naturally, things took a personal route and Dermot quizzed Ed about his most-loved things to do in Ireland.

That includes his favourite city on his recent tour, his number-one place to visit and all the gigs he has done around the country before he hit superstar status.

Cork night #1 ! @zakarywalters

A post shared by Ed Sheeran (@teddysphotos) on

Now, before you take your guesses: Dublin-folk take a seat.

The Galway Girl singer said the wanna-be capital, Cork was his number one fav stop on his tour around Ireland.

Although, Dublin has a special place in his heart as he's gigged in Whelan's, Vicar street and the Olympia.

Dublin night #2 !

A post shared by Ed Sheeran (@teddysphotos) on

When asked what was the difference between Belfast, Dublin and Galway crowds on his tour, Ed's answer was way too relatable for any Irish person.

Poor Belfast was washed out of it when it came time for the 27-year-old to take to the stage.

Therefore, the crowds' enthusiasm had been well dampened, according to the singer.

Ed confessed to Dermot that he has more of a connection to an Irish crowd than a Scottish – ah, bless.

Don't get too big headed though, this is due to the influence of Irish music and taking about five annual trips growing up, to our beautiful country.

Adding sweetly in the intimidate Q and A, Ed said the guy who made him want to write music was Irish.

Now getting to the proper juicy part, Ed's favourite place in the Emerald Island is….Dingle Bay.

Honestly, we cannot even blame him.

Situated in Kerry, it marks one of the westernmost points of mainland Ireland, and it's breathtaking.

Unsurprisingly, the bay is a usual hot-spot with tourists too.

However, Ed advised anyone wanting to live in Ireland to move to Wexford.

It seems like the singer is always true to his roots – and we love him for it.

Ed and Dermot's chat was a part of Ireland.com's tourism project.

So sit back, enjoy the natter and the incredibly beautiful Irish spots featured throughout the video, which is bound to give you the travel bug.

Watching beauty videos on YouTube is one of our favourite pastimes, but occasionally we can get a tad bored with the content.

Luckily, with all the lazing about that the festive season allows us,m we stumbled upon one YouTube beauty guru with an epic twist.

Introducing Sailor J, the parody beauty account that mixes sensational makeup looks with social issue discussion. We subscribed in three seconds flat.

A post shared by SailorJ (@xx_jjsmith_xx) on

Sailor uses her tutorials to help unfortunate singletons catch a man, using the bamboozlement and witchcraft that is makeup.

'I bought this brush from a woman at the mall,' she declares in GETTING A MAN 101, one of her popular videos.

'She had a wedding ring on, so clearly she knows what she's doing.'

Sailor also takes the absolute p*** out of the consistent insistence of males that makeup is 'false advertising.'

'A man is going to find me and think – 'Wow, a woman born with gold eyelids.'

Her most viewed video Contouring 101, has over 1.2 million views thanks to it's time on the trending page, and for good reason.

'If men find out we can rearrange the bones of our face, we're finished. We might as well pack our bags and go to the nunnery,' she proclaims, in full Sailor J persona.

'If the men find out we can shape shift, they're going to tell the church.'

A post shared by SailorJ (@xx_jjsmith_xx) on

'Beautiful women don't have foreheads,' she says sarcastically.

'If you have too big of a brain, it means you have ugly things like opinions and thoughts of your own.'

We'll leave you to watch it for yourself:

All is not as it seems in that Love Island villa.

First we learned that 99.5% of Samira's journey was edited out, plus not to mention 99.9% of her relationship with Frankie.

And now ex-contestant Savanna Darnell – yer one with the fab hair who got about four seconds of air time – has dropped another bombshell.

HERE WE GO #loveisland #supportsav

A post shared by SAVANNA DARNELL (@_savannadarnell) on

She appeared on Lewys Balls YouTube channel where she nattered away about all things Love Island.

Oh, and mentioned that she had been cosying up to one Mr Wes Nelson.

Yep, Megan's boyf wasn't as loyal as he made out to be. And we are shook.

"Me and Wes actually really got on. We shared a bed – they never showed that. We had a cuddle, we were singing the whole time, up till stupid o' clock giggling and laughing in bed – that's what you didn't see hunnies."

So the producers simply edited all their time together out?

''They just never wanted to show it,'' Savanna said.

This hasn't been the only time recently that the ITV show has been hit with claims of deceptive editing and re-shooting.

One eagle-eyed viewer took to Twitter to expose a scene that looked like it had been filmed twice if you look at Georgia's manicure from one frame to the next.

Bit sus, no?

As well as continuity issues a la Georgia's nails, ''The Kiss'', which quickly became the most saturated plot line of the series, was also put under the microscope.

Because I am sad and have no life, I've watched the clip below quite a few times and I'm still none the wiser.

Is the first kiss them saying hello and the second kiss them saying goodbye?

Watch the vid below and deicide for yourselves, it's a tricky one.

However, one thing is one million percent for sure: Love Island is a reality TV show and the producers know we want all the dramz, so they edit the footage to give us that.

Fair enough we say, but if any producers are reading this, we beg you – don't make us hear ''I'm loyal babes, I'm real, that's just who I am'' one more time. We just can't.
