There are dozens of influencers out there who are empowering all kinds of women, from the fit fam to the body positive movement. However, one group that we’ve struggled to see being represented are ladies that are a size 14, until now…

The wonderful Lucy Wood has inspired many women to embrace their size 14 bodies with her encouraging and honest videos.

The writer has bravely opened up about her body in a series of videos, where she shares her body confidence tips and fashion advice for women who are ‘a little bit fat.’

As a size 14 woman myself, Lucy’s videos have made me feel comfortable enough to dress the way I want, instead of covering up every inch of my body.

There is so much pressure on women to look a certain way, and that is why content creators like Lucy are so important.

One of the main reasons why I love the autumn and winter months is because I feel more body confident. I love wearing snuggly jumpers, giant scarves and chunky boots. However, once the summer rolls around I can’t help but dread the change of style.

When I turn over the calendar from May to June I can’t help but fret about the struggles of dressing my size 14 body in ‘suitable summer clothes’.

My mind fills with a wave of worries- How will I cover up my pasty pale legs? Won’t my stomach look too big in light summer dresses?

Since watching Lucy’s inspiring videos, I have realised that it doesn’t matter what size you are. We should all dress in a way that makes us feel good. You can wear a floral playsuit whether you are a size 8 or a size 14.

You don’t have to cover up your body just because you’re that little bit chunkier than your friends. Embrace the skin you’re in and follow in Lucy’s footsteps.

She’s paving the way for us size 14 ladies and I’ll proudly march beside her.

Late last year, following a string of high profile sexual abuse allegations, a movement was created encouraging people to open the conversation and provide support for victims who has suffered in silence for too long. 

Since then, countless people have shared their own personal experiences through #MeToo, marking a shift in how we tolerate the issue. 

With that, many parents have chosen to break down barriers and open the discussion with their own children, in the hope that they will gain a greater awareness, and the ability to identify inappropriate behaviours. 

In an effort to inspire more of these types of conversations, YouTube channel Cut shared a poignant video of parent having a frank and honest conversation with their kids about sexual abuse. 

In the video, titled 'Parents Explain #MeToo', three mothers talk about what the movement represents and why it's so important. 

The emotional clip shows mother Nicole, explain what sexual abuse is to her son Nolan, before revealing that she had been assaulted as a child. 

“Sexual assault is where people do inappropriate things to other people including things with the private parts we just talked about. So a lot of people are scared to talk about when those bad things happen to them, okay?” she says.

“It happens to a lot of men and women, boys and girls. It happened to me when I was younger, I didn’t even tell Daddy until two years ago.”

“I think it’s important for you to know because these things can happen to kids, too.”

In similar discussions, two teen girls discuss the issue with their own mothers, with one even opening up about an inappropriate incident that happened to her at school. 

“I’m very proud of you. It’s okay to talk about these things,” her mother says.. 

“And that is the right thing to do, is to tell somebody right away. And you have to learn how to always speak up and don’t let anybody ever take advantage of you. This is never okay and it’s never your fault."

While the video may feature just three conversations, it highlights the need for children to be aware of the issues that happen around them and brings to light the importance of having an open line of communication between parent and child

Logan Paul came under fire last month after filming the body of a suicide victim and uploading the footage to the internet. 

YouTuber visited Aokigahara, Japan, also known as the suicide forest due to the high number of suicides that occur there.

While there, Paul and his posse of friends discovered the body of an individual who has taken their own life.

Rather than respectfully leaving the individual alone, the YouTuber, who has over 15 million followers, filmed the body and made a vlog out of the experience. 

The video faced huge backlash, but was featured on YouTubes trending page for a number of hours. 

The video was eventually removed, but many other YouTubers felt that there was a double standard for Paul's videos versus theirs because oif his massive following. 

YouTube recently tightened their rules surrounding advertiser friendly content on the video hosting site, leading to a large number of alternative channels being de monetised completely .

While Paul's suicide body video did not get advertising suspended on his account, a recent video of him toying with the dead bodies of animals has. 

A video uploaded by Paul to his channel shows him using a tazer gun to damage the bodies of dead rodents. 

Animal lovers were outraged by his behaviour, and claimed that his actions would incite cruelty to animals in his very young fan base.

'How many chances does Logan Paul get?' reads a PETA statement.

'PETA finds it repulsive that this “internet personality” with millions of impressionable young followers has not learned the lesson that there is sadness, not humour, in the death of others.'

'This sort of content has no place on YouTube or anywhere else, as it could desensitize young people to cruelty to animals, so PETA is calling on the platform to remove it.'

On the back of this criticism, YouTube has suspended advertising on his channel. Advertising makes up a huge portion of income for YouTubers. 

'In response to Logan Paul’s recent pattern of behaviour, we’ve temporarily suspended ads on his channels,' reads a tweet from YouTube. 

Perhaps now he will finally learn his lesson?

Disgraced YouTube star Logan Paul is attempting to regain his followers' trust after a video he filmed in the Aokigahara, also known as Japan's 'suicide forest', received huge backlash online.

The video, which was uploaded on December 31 and has since been deleted, contained footage showing the body of an individual who had taken their own life.

Needless to say, the video was widely condemned for its graphic and insensitive content.

Since then, Logan has apologised for his misguided actions, saying: Let's start with this—I'm sorry.'

‘I've never faced criticism like this before, because I've never made a mistake like this before.’

‘I'm surrounded by good people and believe I make good decisions, but I'm still a human being. I can be wrong.’

‘I didn't do it for views. I get views. I did it because I thought I could make a positive ripple on the Internet, not cause a monsoon of negativity.’

Three weeks after the YouTuber issued his official apology, he has now returned to the platform with a seven-minute suicide awareness video which he hopes will 'make a difference in the world'.

The video, which has received a largely positive response so far, follows Logan he attempts to educate himself by speaking to a number of suicide experts and mental health activists, as well as a suicide survivor.

The 22-year-old also pledged to donate $1 million to prevention groups.

"It's time to learn from the past as I get better and grow as a human being. I’m here to have a hard conversation so that those who are suffering have easier ones," he says.

The video finishes with a message urging anyone who may be feeling emotionally distressed to contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Shane Dawson has issued a lengthy apology after fans accused him of joking about paedophilia in an unearthed podcast recorded six years ago.

Fans of the YouTube star were left furious after Pop Blast posted a edited audio clip in which the 29-year-old made controversial comments about meeting a six-year-old girl with over 100,000 followers on Instagram.

"I said OK, why do you have so many followers? And she said, 'Oh I’m a cheerleader' Oh really? And she shows me her Instagram which are like… First of all, I don’t know if I’m allowed to say this, but she’s like sexy," he said in the podcast.

Shane, who's YouTube channel has over 11 million subscribers, then went on to explain his “justification for paedophilia,” describing it as a “fetish” that some people have.

"Here’s my justification for paedophilia – people have foot fetishes, people have fetishes about everything, that’s fine, do your thing," he says.

"So why is it when somebody looks at and Googles like ‘naked baby’ on Google and jerks off to it, they can get arrested? I don’t understand that."

Needless to say, the viral clip garnered huge backlash, prompting the internet star to issue an apology.

"I am not a f**king pedophile!,” Shane said in a video uploaded on Wednesday.

"I loved the feeling of making somebody shocked and laugh because they couldn't believe what was coming out of my mouth. I wasn't confident enough to make smarter jokes. I was making the easy jokes,” he continued

"I was playing crazy stereotypical characters. I was doing sh*t that was racially insensitive, I was doing sh*t that was homophobic, I was doing shit that could be considered fat shaming, I was doing some f**ked up comedy stuff that I'm not proud of.”

Shane, who is known for his controversial content, insists that he has “changed so much as a person and as a creative” since the time of the recording.

"The stuff that I was saying back in those times I would never say now. Ever. Because I don't think that's funny. Listening to that clip now, I didn't laugh."

"I didn't think it was funny. But when you hear that clip, you hear my co-host laughing, which was my goal. I wanted to always make her shocked and laugh. That was our thing."

A 20-year-old woman, who decided to go topless at the Rhythm & Vines Festival in New Zealand this week, has found herself the subject of debate after she punched a man who groped her.

The incident, which was captured on film, saw Madeline Anello-Kitzmiller making her way through the crowds at the New Year's Eve festival when she was chased by a man who then appeared to grope her.

Madeline and her friend Kiri-Ann Hatfield immediately retaliated by following the man back to where he sat with a group of friends before hitting him repeatedly.

Worryingly, some members of the public who have viewed the footage placed blame at Madeline's door by suggesting her decision to go topless resulted in the altercation, with one YouTuber asking: "Wtf do you expect going topless to a drunken festival?"

Responding to that particular narrative, Madeline told The Daily Mail that her decision to go topless did not justify the man's actions.

"A human’s body is their own, and nobody has a right to touch you without your consent, regardless of what they’re wearing or the lack thereof," she argued.

“He grabbed my breast. I hit him. There was a lot of built up anger coming from harassment throughout the day. This happens everywhere, not just New Zealand," she added.

"I stand by my actions and hope that I’ve inspired women to feel comfortable in their bodies, no matter how they look, and to stick up for themselves when anybody says otherwise, or tries to deny you the right to protect your own body."

If you’re anyway familiar with current YouTube trends, you’ll have heard of Paul Logan by now.

The former Disney TV actor boasts over 15 million followers on his channel, which focuses on vlogs, challenges and titles such as ‘MY ASSISTANT GOT PREGNANT IN MY HOUSE’ and ‘MY NEW $3,000,000 WATCH.’

The YouTuber has found fame with his young following, but has received major criticism for his most recent video.

In one video, the YouTuber visits Aokigahara, also known as the suicide forest due to the high number of suicides that occur there.

While there, Paul and his posse of friends discover the body of an individual who has taken their own life.

Paul filmed the deceased individual and uploaded the content to his channel, where it was viewed by his 15 million strong audience.

The video caused shock waves due to its graphic and insensitive content and Logan is under fire for the upload.

He has since apologised for his misguided actions, saying: ‘Let's start with this—I'm sorry.’

‘I've never faced criticism like this before, because I've never made a mistake like this before.’

‘I'm surrounded by good people and believe I make good decisions, but I'm still a human being. I can be wrong.’

‘I didn't do it for views. I get views. I did it because I thought I could make a positive ripple on the Internet, not cause a monsoon of negativity.’

‘I intended to raise awareness for suicide and suicide prevention…I'm often reminded of how big of a reach I truly have and with great power comes great responsibility.’

'For the first time in my life I'm regretful to say I handled that power incorrectly. It won't happen again,’ he finished.

While Paul did include a number of suicide prevention contact details in the video, the entire situation was perceived as insensitive and disrespectful.

His apology was met by scepticism from many. 

'How is filming someone’s death a “mistake” then you post it on YouTube? That was not a mistake,' said one Twitter user. 

'You CHOSE to do it and you should have known the consequences so now you can face them.'

The video has since been removed, but versions of it and videos criticising its content are still available.

Ikea is tapping into the ASMR market with their latest youtube offering. 

The furniture giant has created an ASMR video showcasing Ikea products. 

The video is being hailed by ASMR converts, and we got a little tingly watching it ourselves.

Tragically, it's becoming more and more routine for late-night chat show show hosts to open their programmes with their thoughts on the latest mass shooting to take place on US soil.

Ostensibly, hosts like Conan O'Brien, James Corden and Jimmy Kimmel are hired to front lighthearted late-night chat shows, but viewers now expect a few words from the presenters when incidents like Saturday night's shooting in Las Vegas occur.

Acknowledging this, a visibly emotional Jimmy Kimmel opened his show with a tribute to the people who lost their lives when gunman, Stephen Paddock, opened fire from a hotel room on the Las Vegas strip over the weekend.

"Here we are again in the aftermath of another terrible, inexplicable, shocking and painful tragedy. This time in Las Vegas, which happens to be my home town, Cleeto's home town and Cleeto Snr's home town," he began, choking back tears.

Clearly struggling to understand the motivation behind such an atrocity, Jimmy broke down several times as he made reference to the various people who lost their lives while attending a country music festival in the famous city.

"It's the kind of thing that makes you want to throw up or give up. It's too much to even process," he told viewers before taking aim at the politicians who refuse to address gun control in the United States.

YouTubers responded to Jimmy's devastation, with one social media user writing: "Respect to Jimmy for using his platform to speak some truth."

"Jimmy, thank you for standing up and saying what needs to be said. You are an inspiration," added another.

A video, which seeks to highlight the importance that the Repeal the 8th discussion has on Ireland's youth, has been the subject of considerable praise this morning.

The video, which was uploaded to YouTube yesterday, seeks to remind the public of the laws surrounding abortion in Ireland, and the reasons why these laws are, and have been, the subject of intense controversy.

Uploaded by Irish Progressive Youth, the video highlights the incongruity of the law, and provides a number of young Irish people with a platform to share their thoughts on a subject which has gained considerable momentum over the last 12 months.

And with the last March for Choice taking place this Saturday, this video is most definitely worth a watch.

Before Taylor Swift shook the industry with a string of chart-topping hits, numerous relationship sagas and several high-profile spats, we had Britney Spears.

Like Taylor, Britney started out as a wholesome, all-American gal until abruptly changing tack in 2002.

Andy, who goes by AKA AnDyWuMUSICLAND on YouTube, has been inundated with praise since sharing the remix in recent days.

"Better than the original," wrote one YouTuber while another added: "This is a MASTERPIECE."

'Be whoever makes you happy' – that's the message tattoo artist, Baz Black, hope viewers will take form his latest YouTube sketch, Office Workers Shocking Transformation.

The video shows the Dundalk native as a clean cut officer worker who is unhappy and under-appreciated at work.

After a less than pleasant meeting with his boss, Baz then returns home where he begins to cut his hair before rubbing off his full-body make-up to reveal a seriously impressive collection of tattoos and piercings.

Instantly happier with his new appearance, Baz then heads to a club where he performs as a drummer in a band as his boss watches from the crowd.

And well, you check out the clip for yourself to see what happens next: 

We have to admit, the make-up definitely has us fooled – the wig on the other hand may need a little work (sorry Baz!). 

The aim of the short sketch was to encourage people to do whatever makes them happy, regardless of what anyone thinks, because at the end of the day, the only opinion that matters whe it comes to your appearance, is your own.

"'Be Whoever Makes You Happy' In a world full of JUDGEMENT I hope you can find some inspiration in this short video, " the description reads. 

The video, uploaded on Thursday, has racked up over 7,000 views so far, and honestly, it's not hard to see why.
