A Texas-based beauty blogger has received huge criticism from cosmetic surgery experts after she chose to live stream her breast augmentation on Instagram this week.

Ashley Devonna is notoriously open with her 200,000+ YouTube subscribers, so when she decided to go under the knife, the 24-year-old felt she needed to document the process on her various social media accounts.

“I’m going to get a breast augmentation, but not just that, we’re going to stream it live on Dr. Khan’s Instagram page,” she told her followers.

Ashley, who admits she is fascinated by cosmetic procedure videos, has said she hopes the footage will educate and inform women who might be considering plastic surgery.

The live stream was approved by her surgeon, Dr Farah Khan, who insisted it was the right move for her patient.

“It’s a new experience,” she told Pix11.

“Nowadays we live our lives on social media and I think especially the younger generation, that’s how they communicate and they want to be open with their friends, their family, their followers.”

However, according to The Independent, some experts in the UK have condemned Ashley's decision, saying that most surgeons use this type of coverage for marketing purposes.

Consultant Plastic Surgeon and BAAPs Council Member Afshin Mesahebi told the newspaper, “As surgeons we use live streaming for training purposes all the time but something like this doesn’t give the whole picture and the magnitude of the surgery and risks associated with implants.”

“Unfortunately most of these patients are given freebies and surgeons are simply doing it for nothing more than marketing purposes.”

I just want to spend the rest of my life laughing!

Award-winning cosmetic doctor, Dr Esho, of the ESHO Clinic added: “For millennials, the main source of information today is social media platforms.”

“If it is presented in a form which shows the benefits as well as the risks, if it is informative in terms of educating the patient and those who are interested in the procedure, then it is a very useful tool.

“However, if the individual’s intention is to sensationalise and simply create a buzz for themselves, this is trivialising a serious procedure which can potentially put many people at risk.”

These concerns were echoed by some of Ashely's followers, however the beauty blogger hit back, admitting that she doesn't let the negative comments get her down.

"It’s the business. The negative comments pay me the same as the positive ones."

Meet Billy.

Billy is a Korean YouTube sensation whose unique interest in all things British and Irish has earned him quite the following over in this part of the world.

His channel is packed with tutorials on how to master accents from across the UK and Ireland, and for the most part, they're actually pretty spot on.

However, we're not sure we can say the same for his latest effort.

On Sunday, Billy uploaded his latest tutorial – and it's sure to give Dubliners a bit of a laugh.

The 25-year-old student spent six months studying in the UK, and it looks like he could have made a few Irish pals along the way.

From what we can tell, the Seoul native actually has a pretty decent grasp of Dublinese his explanation of words like 'craic', 'deadly' and 'banjoed', and while his accent skills leave much to be desired, we're willing to let that go.

Amassing almost 2,000,000 YouTube views in less than a month, there's no doubt that Desi Perkin's makeup collection has to be seen to be believed.

The 30-year-old beauty blogger organised, divided and categorised her gargantuan makeup collection with all the precision of a museum curator, and frankly, we're spellbound.

From the sheer number of compacts to the epic collection of lipsticks, we watched every minute of the almost half-hour long upload with our mouths agape.

And we weren't the only ones.

Chiming in on an upload which will prove a little slice of heaven for anyone even remotely interested in cosmetics, YouTubers wasted no time sharing their thoughts on it.

"I started this video like 'no way I'm watching all 29 minutes of this' .I'm on minute 27:03 now," admitted one.

"This video literally turns me on," revealed another.

Well, you know, whatever floats your boat…

We all know that sense of absolute terror and dread when our make-up falls on the ground and smashes all over the place.

Bear in mind it's probably only an Essence bronzer, or a Penneys Pro blush, but the devastation is gut-wrenching nonetheless.

And no matter how many videos we watch showing you how to bring your make up back from the cosmetics cemetery, we just can't seem to put it all back together again.

But, what we've noticed is that the devastation only hits when it's your make-up, but if it's somebody elses, well, we actually get a bit of enjoyment from seeing it all smashed to pieces.

And that's where this Youtube series comes in. The Makeup Breakup is a new video series hosted by two Australian beauty vloggers, and we love it.

For them, nothing is off limits, whether it's Chanel, Kylie Cosmetics or Lancome – everything gets smashed.

So, if you're in a particularly fragile state today after a night out, sit back in your jammies and let the smashing commence.

Oh, and while we have you; don't forget to have your say in the inaugural SHEmazing Awards this May! It's time to vote, and you can do it right here!

Winding down is becoming harder and harder these days as many of us find it increasingly difficult to switch off or detach after a hectic day.

Old reliables like chilling out in front of a movie or reading a book just don't have the same appeal as our reliance on email and instant messaging increases, and ultimately distracts us from the task at hand.

However, it looks like millions of people in recent years have found a failsafe way to tune out or drift off, and it's with the help of something known as ASMR.

Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is an experience characterised by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine, and can be brought about by the sound of hair brushing, hushed tones, page turning or keyboard tapping… among many others.

Indeed, YouTube is awash with videos from all over the world which feature individuals role-playing in a variety of situations including hair appointments, eye examinations and hotel check-ins.

The thing is, though, you either get it or you don't. But if you do, here we have – for your ASMR pleasure – some of the most popular.

1. "This was my very first ASMR video! Knocks me out almost every time!"

2. "This is the best ASMR video I've seen in a long time."

3. "It's so hard explaining this to people."

4. "Your voice is so soothing, you're already one of my fav asmrtists!"

5. "Does anyone else feel that it tickles your back?"

Between Kim's robbery, Kanye's breakdown and Kourtney's relationship struggles, the last year has been a tumultuous one for the Kardashian family.

And while their fans tend to follow their every move on social media, their desire to see the events play out in a handy 60-minute package courtesy of E! doesn't seem to be waning.

Mere hours after the trailer for the upcoming Keeping With The Kardashians series debuted online, the clip amassed more than a quarter of a million views on YouTube.

"This season is gonna be drama af," wrote one internet user after catching a glimpse of the upset that unfolded in the aftermath of various high-profile incidents.

"Crying. My queen Kim I'm not ready for these episodes," added another.

Take a look at this…

Now don’t get us wrong: we don’t necessarily watch cooking channels on YouTube to learn how to make fancy dinners or crazy cakes – we just love the entertainment.

And we won't apologise for it, either.

If you'd rather stick pins in your eyes than endure the unskippable 30-second advertisements that YouTube force upon us, you're not alone.

Sitting through a 30-second ad in order to see a 15-second video of a cat with an attitude problem is not how we would willingly choose to spend our time, but alas, it's what they expect of us.

Up until 2018, that is.

According to emerging reports, the good folk at Google have announced that they will be ridding YouTube of all 30-second non-skippable which play before your chosen video, with a spokesperson saying "We’re committed to providing a better ads experience for users online."

"As part of that, we’ve decided to stop supporting 30-second unskippable ads as of 2018 and focus instead on formats that work well for both users and advertisers," they added.

But before you celebrate too soon, the announcement doesn't mean we will be free of ads entirely as we will still be shown advertisements under 30 seconds in duration.

And ladies, these can be made unskippable if the powers that be wish to do so.

So, it all really depends on how much you want to see that cat, right?

It may have been lurking on YouTube for the best part of a decade, but we have Giuliana Rancic to thank for bringing this cracker of a Bryan Cranston commercial to the attention of the wider world last night.

While shooting the breeze with Screen Actor's Guild Award attendees, the E! host spotted the Breaking Bad star, and decided to use the opportunity to remind the actor that no matter how far you come in the industry, you're only one YouTube upload away from total mortification.

After being reminded that he starred in a particularly cheesy ad for Carnation Coffee Mate back in 1988, Bryan assured Giuliana that his appearance quickly became part of family folklore.

"My mother could never remember if it was Coffee-mate or Cremora," he said. "And she would say, ‘I love that Cream-mate creamer! I use that in my coffee all the time.’"

Unsurprisingly, members of the public, who happened upon the ad before Giuliana's big reveal last night, wasted no time referencing the star's biggest work as Walter White in Breaking Bad.

"I am the one who brews!" wrote one while another added: "I don't make the coffee. I AM THE COFFEE!"

We'll let Bryan take it from here…

In the run-up to their premiere of Casting JonBenét at this year's Sundance Fim Festival, Netflix have released a sneak peek at the documentary which true-crime fans have been waiting for with bated breath.

And if their intention was to leave YouTubers feeling pretty disturbed, they achieved it.

A clip for the documentary – which examines the 20-year case into the unsolved murder of six-year-old pageant queen JonBenét Ramsey – was released on YouTube yesterday, and it certainly makes for some unsettling viewing.

Featuring a group of little girls in typical pageant attire, the clip sees one young hopeful, who bears a striking resemblance to the deceased child, asking if they knew who killed JonBenét, and, unsurprisingly, YouTube found it a little hard to watch.

"This is creepy. Can we not?" asked one while another added: "OMG that gave me the heeby jeebies."

"Hell no! Just NO. Nope, not gonna watch. Ever. Never. Netflix, you people are SICK!" ranted another.

If you're not put off by the recently released clip, Casting JonBenét will hit Netflix this April.

If there's one thing more irritating than waiting for a video to buffer on YouTube, we have yet to come across it.

And it looks like the folk at YouTube, which happens to be owned by Google, are all too aware of this.

In a bid to distract users from their own dodgy internet connection, YouTube have changed the standard 'loading' icon from a circle to a castle with a jaunty red flag.

According to Android Police, the icon has been around for a while, but is making more regular appearances as the weeks go by.

Unfortunately the castle has absolutely no bearing on the video's loading time, but was designed to entertain the viewer as they cursed their internet provider and demanded a gin from their nearest and dearest.

Oh, and if you happen to be, you know, into castles, cherish its appearance because it only appears when the video first loads, and not throughout if it begins to buffer halfway through.

And now you know…

Let's be honest, winding up our mothers never gets old.

And watching other people wind up their own mothers has got to be one of the most entertaining ways to pass the time.

So, hats off to John Coen from Galway, who did a top-notch job of irritating the life out of his mother, Majella, recently when he insisted she inspect the 'leak' in her sink.

With her head stuck in the cupboard beneath the sink and no 'leak' to be seen, John's mam was fit to lose her reason as her son insisted she wasn't looking at it.

The footage, which has been doing serious rounds on social media, has been inundated with comments from the public praising Majella's response to her son's prank.

We'll let this pair take it from here…
