Baywatch is back, people and we all know what that means. 

We're talking red swimsuits, drowning tourists, lot's of sunscreen and of course those infamous slow motion running scenes. 

The iconic television series is to be remade into a feature film for 2017 and if the new cast doesn't get you excited then we don't know what will. 

So just who is set to don the red suit? 

1) Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson 

Whoever took on the role as head lifeguard at Malibu Beach was always going to have some big shoes to fill.

David Hasselhoff was iconic in the role but we reckon the Rock is more than capable of donning those red shorts. 

2) Zac Efron 

What would Baywatch be without a young stud muffin running around to distract all the ladies? 

We reckon Zac Efron is perfect casting if only because… abs. 

3) Kelly Rohbach 

You may recognise model Kelly as the former girlfriend of Leonardo DiCaprio. 

Despite breaking up in the last few weeks, Kelly has loads going for her after landing her first acting gig in Baywatch. Though it seems that Dwayne is already putting the gorgeous model through her paces… 

 

For our #BAYWATCH and the iconic role of "CJ Parker" I had to make sure @kellyrohrbach was… tough.

4) Alexandria Daddario 

You may recognise Alexandria from the first series of True Detective where she certainly showed off her assets. 

The 29-year-old is set to play a character called Summer in the 2017 film. 

5) Priyanka Chopra 

Priyanka is reportedly on board to play the villain of the film. 

You may recognise the pretty star from her lead role in ABC's top drama series, Quantico.

Ah, the High School Musical days. They were the days you could watch a shirtless Zac Efron for days on end and never get bored. And the songs were always good too, no matter how cheesy they were.

Gigi and Bella Hadid seem to think the same as us too because yesterday Gigi posted a Snapchat video of her and her little sis dancing to We're All In This Together. #Memories.

But even better than that, Sharpey herself, Ms Ashley Tisdale, saw the snap and decided to tell the girls how much she loves it.

“When you see @GiGiHadid and @bellahadid on snapchat dancing to ‘we’re all in this together’” she tweeted.

Miley Cyrus wil never cease to amaze us with her wild antics; and her concert over the weekend was very wild, indeed.

The 23-year-old appeared to be topless during one of her performances on stage, in which she was joined by Pamela Anderson.

Miley was dressed in a unicorn-type costume and Pamela wore a black tank top and black underwear for her stint on stage, while waving a sign that said, 'Save the whales'. 

Zac Efron and Bella Hadid attended the LA show and their view was very up-close-and-personal, but neither agreed to go on stage (IMAGINE what she would have done to Zac!). 

As it turns out, her boobs were fakes boobs at the show, as she shared a photo on Instagram saying, "I still can't believe that my fake t*ts get censored."

It isn't the first shocker to come from the songstress, and we're sure it won't be her last either.

Zac Efron celebrated his 28th birthday yesterday, but it wasn't all smiles on the actor's special day.

October 18 also marks the birthday of Zac's late cousin Emily Hobson, who shared the same age and birth date with him.

Emily passed away from cancer two years ago, with her death made all the more tragic by the fact doctors had told her she was in remission just a year previously.

The actor took to Instagram yesterday to mark the day, and asked fans for a special "birthday wish" for himself and Emily – a donation to US charity Stand Up 2 Cancer.

"Happy birthday to my cousin and best friend, Emily, who passed away from cancer 2 years ago – she was 28 like me," he wrote alongside a childhood holiday photo of the pair. 

"We share the same birthday and this day is forever ours.

"My birthday wish is for you to donate anything you can to @su2c. Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes. Love you."

Emily was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer, in 2009. She was 21 at the time, and was studying Film at the University of California.

After her diagnosis, she began working actively to help form a cancer support group in her area for young adult patients. One friend described her as "the true definition of a fighter."

In a 2012 tweet, Zac told fans that Emily helped him "get started" as an actor.

Zac's Instagram post already almost half a million likes, so we're hoping Stand Up 2 Cancer saw a big boost in donations yesterday.

Starring beside Ben Affleck and Zac Efron has done Emily Ratajkowski a world of wonders. 

She's now practically a household name and her Instagram account has soared to 3.4m followers; so it was a shock to hear that the model has never walked on the runway before. 

Well, that all changed thanks to Marc Jacobs and his cinematic Spring show. 

Emily took to the catwalk alongside superstar models like Adriana Lima, Karen Elson and Jamie Bochert. 

With it's film premiere theme, the show provided an ideal debut for the model/actress, who knew before the event even started that it was going to be something special. 

“I think the energy that people felt in the audience once the show started—we were feeling that from the second we got to do a rehearsal.”

“Each girl’s look was like a character Marc had created just for us,” says Emily.

“It made all of us feel special and beautiful in our own way—which is exactly what Marc had set out to do.”

This seems like a slightly odd pairing but we love it all the same!

Hollywood heart throb Zac Efron and funny girl Anna Kenrick are BFFs – according to Anna in her latest interview.

The actress spoke to InStyle over the week and told them all about their mountain hikes and BFF status.

During the summer the friends were spotted in Hawaii, hiking through Oahu, a top tourist spot on the island.

While this friendship seems to be out of the blue, Anna and Zac were filming an upcoming movie, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, where they star alongside Adam DeVine.

In Anna's interview she was asked whether her and Zac are now besties, to which she replied, "Totally".

"You know, I'm just glad he could keep up with me because I'm so in shape, and he is so weak." 

 Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates is due in cinemas in 2016.

Zac Efron and Sami Miro have never been overly public about their relationship on social media, but after a year together they've finally opened up.

The couple each posted seriously lovely-dovey Instagram statuses yesterday in honour of their first anniversary, which took place on September 5th.

Zac's been on a hectic promotional tour for his new film We Are Your Friends over the last month, but he was finally reunited with his girlfriend this week and wasted no time in telling the world how much he adored her.

"Happy anniversary baby 🙂 I love you @samimiro September 5th," he wrote, posting a picture of the pair kissing in silhouette. 

Sami also shared an equally smitten Instagram update in response, posting a selfie of herself and her man with the caption, "Time flies when you're having fun. Happy anniversary baby I love you too @zacefron September 5."

How cute are these two?!

Zac and Sami were first pictured together this time last year, just weeks after his short-lived fling with actress Michelle Rodriguez ended.

However they only made their first official red carpet appearance as a couple last month, at the LA premiere of We Are Your Friends.

Sami looked every bit the Hollywood glamour queen at the August 20th event, weering a sheer minidress with silver lace overlay, accessorised with a white coat and a metallic clutch.

Zac has always gone for women who stand out from the crowd, a friend told People shortly after he made things official with Sami. The actor apparently likes "outspoken, independent women who challenge him."

We reckon this pair have serious staying power.

Another day, another Hollywood fall-out.

Even though Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines video sky-rocketed the model to fame, Emily wants the world to know that she is SO over it.

The 24 year-old was one of three models who danced topless to the 2013 smash hit song.

But the stunning brunette, who credited the video with winning her a role in Gone Girl and landing her a place in the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, told InStyle UK , "Now it's the bane of my existence."

"When anyone comes up to me about Blurred Lines, I'm like, are we seriously talking about a video from three years ago?" she told the magazine.

Talking to InStyle, the model admitted that she has no problem with nudity but would like to leave that particular incident in the past.

Emily admitted that she doesn't understand what all the fuss is about when it comes to her famous figure.

"It's weird to me that the reaction to a woman's naked body is so controversial in our culture," she said.

"My mum taught me to never apologise for my sexuality. My dad never made me feel embarrassed. I also don't think I've ever had an awareness of my own body as being super-sexual. It was always just my body."

As well as being cast in Gone Girl, the model-turned actress also starred in Entourage and opposite Zac Efron in We Are Your Friends, released last month.

It was the movie franchise that captured our heart, minds – AND nurtured our pre-teen and teen musical aspirations. 

But almost ten years after the release of the first High School Musical, the song which was the movie's very cornerstone – Breaking Free – has been largely forgotten by protagonist Zac Efron.

The actor famously played Troy Bolton opposite Vanessa Hudgens – who played Gabriella Montez – in the hugely successful franchise.

 

But while promoting his latest release, We Are Your Friends, alongside co-star Emily Ratajkowski and director Max Joseph, 27-year-old Zac had an interview with glossy magazine Cosmoploitan.

And during the course of the segment, he found himself at a loss when asked to identify Breaking Free.

"That's High School Musical. Oh wait… the name of the song?" he says lifting his hands to his face in thought. "The pressure's on – Soarin', Flying, is it?" 

"No! Come on, Zac," the interviewer cries out in disgust. 

"Take A Chance?" the actor next offers, before realising: "Breaking Free!" 

Amid much jeering from Emily and Max, Mr Efron protests: "There's a lot – there's three movies of songs!" 

Of course, in contrast, every self-respecting Disney fan can remember and recite the entire HSM soundtrack instantly.

We're going to assume this was all a momentary indiscretion, so we'll forgive Zac this one time.

We're not going to ask you if you're familiar with Emily Ratajkowski (we assume you don't live under a rock) – because you are.

However, right now there's no denying that the 24-year-old model is enjoying something of a career high. In short, she is EVERYWHERE.

She first became known for her role in Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines video – and proved she was no one-hit wonder when she was cast as Andie in the movie thriller Gone Girl, which was released last year.

Then this year, she added Entourage to her credentials. Right now she's touring the world as she promotes her new movie, We Are Your Friends in which she stars alongside Zac Efron. And they could not make a hotter duo if they tried (PLEASE become a couple!).

Indeed, gracing the red carpet recently alongside her leading man, Emily wore a blue and black fitted dress with a slit up the front and black strap heels. She styled her hair up in an effortless ponytail which made the whole look come together perfectly.

And though the promotional tour for her new movie is going down a storm, she has said that is it hard for her to find a good role as producers and directors often call her 'too pretty'. 

She said: ''I have some serious criteria for what I'm looking for in a role. The ones that I really want have to be a really interesting script and a story and usually the girl is ugly.''

The US model and actress – who spent her summers in Cork as a child with her mother's family – hopes that things will change in the future. 

''So I'm taking a long and, I hope, high road of basically waiting for the parts that I'm most excited about, which can be really annoying".

It's one of the most anticipated reboots of recent years: former Disney star Zac Efron and wrestling legend Dwayne Johnson, aka The Rock, are teaming up for a big-screen Baywatch movie. 

However, it seems not everyone is happy with the project. And that includes the woman who made the show such a huge international success.

Yes, Pamela Anderson, aka CJ Parker, was asked by TMZ what she thought of the remake going ahead, and she candidly replied that the whole thing is simply a BAD idea.

In fact, the now 48-year-old is deeply unhappy that filming is going ahead at all.

"No one appreciates the remakes," the Canadian actress said.

Pam adds that the Nineties was a "simpler, sweeter time" for TV, and that the concept just won't work on the big screen in 2015.

She furthermore confirmed to the website that, despite widespread rumour that she'd be making a cameo, she was never approached by producers in relation to taking on a small role.

Just this week, The Rock, also a producer on the project, told media that the entire Baywatch cast and crew had "all taken great care and steps in making sure that we do it right".

He went on to explain: "We want to make a big movie, a fun movie, a fun beach movie — bring the beach movie back to the world."

Ms Anderson starred in the hit show, which also showcased the talents of David Hasselhoff, from 1992 until 1997.
