Kanye West breaks down in tears during emotional interview
Kanye West might be known for injecting a lot of emotion into his performances, but he really showed his sensitive side during a recent radio interview.
The rapper was talking fashion with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe when he became very emotional and distressed while talking about his late friend and design mentor, Professor Louise Wilson, who died last year.
He was discussing the journey that led to his new Adidas high fashion collection when he began talking about Louise's influence on his life, before breaking down in tears.
Speaking about the last time he saw Louise, Kanye revealed the advice she had given him on bringing up his toddler daughter North.
"We had dinner at Hakkasan, which is my favourite restaurant in London. And I think she knew that she was going to pass, and she just wanted to give me some words of advice moving forward, and she was asking me about my daughter, asked me about my wife," he explained
Shortly after, the rapper covered his face with his hands and began quietly crying, before Zane suggested they take a few minutes' break. On his return, Kanye admitted that was the first time he'd ever broken down during an interview, and that talking about his late friend was still "kinda hard."
You can see the emotional moment starting from around 25:00.
The rapper also discussed his recent stunt at the Grammys, when he dissed Beck for winning the Grammys Album of the Year over Beyoncé.
Just yesterday, Kanye issued a public apology to Beck via Twitter, for running on stage as Beck accepted his award.
I would like to publicly apologize to Beck, I’m sorry Beck.

At the time many took the stunt as a nod towards Kanye's infamous interruption of Taylor Swift as she accepted an award during the 2009 Grammys. Whatever the reason for jumping on stage during Beck's speech, Kanye seems to have realised the error of his ways:
Could this be a fresh start for the rapper?!
