There's nothing that says 'I'm over you' like a number one hit single, and that's exactly how Perrie Edwards dealt with her break-up from Zayn Malik.

But it seems like Zayn's current girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, isn't too happy about it.

A source told Reveal magazine: "Gigi's asked Zayn to get in touch with Perrie and set up a meeting, just between the two girls, so she can make it clear that she wants her to stop talking about Zayn.

"She feels she's never going to truly get Perrie out of her and Zayn's life until she meets her face-to-face and sorts things out.

"She's really keen to assure Perrie that she wasn't with Zayn when he was still in the relationship with her."

We're all for them sorting things out like adults, but does anyone else think that meeting would be hella awkward?!

In the past week, Perrie Edwards has come out with a lot of dirt about her break up with Zayn Malik.

She has admitted that he ended things by TEXT and that she was homeless for about a month after and had to live out of a suitcase.

However, after the Shout Out to My Ex music video came out, fans began to notice that Perrie couldn't help but throw a little sly dig in at Zayn (because, well… We all know the song is ultimately about him).

In one of the scenes, the girls are driving in the desert and they throw their exes things out of the car – and one of those things is a teddy bear.

But not any old teddy bear, nope. It looks like it's the teddy Zayn gave Perrie while they were still together.

And Twitter is absolutely LOVING it:

Earlier this year, Azelia Banks let rip at Zayn Malik on Twitter in a tirade of homophobic and racist remarks.

She tweeted such things like, "Dude, I make better music than you. Simmer down with that fake white boy rebellion and that wannabe beiber swag," and "Lol u a b**ch n***a." There were many more tweets, but let's just say the language in them went from bad to downright awful.

At the time, Zayn simply replied to her, ""@AZEALIABANKS why you been saying nasty things about me? I wasn't talking about you."

However, now the 25-year-old has penned an open apology to the former Directioner.

She sent the letter into Us Weekly, and you can read it below:

Having finally gone public with Skins star Luke Pasqualino, it seems Perrie Edwards is finally ready to address some of the lingering questions which surround her last big romance.

Expressing herself through Little Mix’s new book, Our World, the 23-year-old pop star confirmed that Zayn Malik did call off their high profile engagement via text.

Describing the 2015 breakup as the “worst time” of her life, Perrie wrote:  “It was horrible…A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message.”

“Just like that.  Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.”

The leaked passage stands in stark contrast with the former One Direction star’s version of events.

Zayn previously told The Fader: “I have more respect for Perrie than to end anything over text message.  I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that.”

“She knows that, I know that, and the public should know that as well. I don’t want to explain why or what I did, I just want the public to know I didn’t do that.”

At this stage we all know that Zayn Malik felt hemmed in during his time in One Direction.

Having joined the group aged only 17, Zayn didn't even own a passport when Simon Cowell worked his magic and made him, Liam, Harry, Niall and Louis one of the biggest pop bands in living memory.

And while Zayn lapped it up at the beginning, he hasn't denied the fact that there came a point when he no longer wanted to conform to the boy band way of life, and eventually jumped ship.

And, sure, he's often cited the band's sound and image as something he railed against, but it turns out something even more pressing was weighing on his mind during his time with ID.

Zayn wanted to write about sex, and damn it, no one would let him.

Opening up about the barriers which restricted his creative process in his autobiography, the now 23-year-old explained that once he went solo he was able to write more sexy lyrics than you could shake a stick at.

"I was also able to sing about a subject that I hadn’t really been able to go near while I was in One Direction: sex," he explained.

“Every lyric I’ve ever written has a story behind it. All the hard work that went into the creation of Pillowtalk was worthwhile because, as soon as it was finished, I intuitively felt I was on the right path."

Thrilled by his debut single's performance, Zayn gushed: "It was a sick cut, nailing the exact sound I wanted to capture in my music."

Having previously launched a streetwear line and shoe collection, Zayn Malik is no stranger to the world of fashion, but his latest endeavour within the industry is bound to set his star soaring.

According to The New York Times, the former 1D member recently caught the attention of Donatella Versace who has chosen to team up and design a clothing line with the young singer.

Having met the Bradford-native during London Fashion Week, Donatella admitted she was pleasantly surprised by the relationship he shared with Gigi Hadid as well as his enthusiasm for fashion.

"I met him again when he started to date Gigi, who I work with all the time. And he impressed me very much –  he was so mature, so thoughtful, treated her like such a gentleman," Donatella told The Times.

"They are very nice young people, a lovely couple, in fact. And then he told me how much he loved fashion. It was then I knew he was the right face for what I had in mind."

Commenting on the capsule collection,  Zayn X Versus, which will hit stores in May of next year, the acclaimed designer insisted that the project goes far beyond the standard celeb collaboration.

"Many celebrities do clothing lines that just aren't relevant," she added. "This one? It will be. He's smart to do it with me."

And Zayn sounds equally excited at the prospect of working with one of the most famous people in the industry.

"The bonus is that I get to collaborate with Donatella, whom I love and admire. I know we'll create something amazing."

Something tells us they may be on to a good thing with this one.

It's been over a year since they called time on their relationship, but it sounds like Perrie Edwards isn't quite ready to forgive and forget if the lyrics to Little Mix's latest track is anything to go by.

In a move which has fans questioning Zayn Malik's skills between the sheets, Perrie appeared to pour scorn on the former One Direction member and his prowess in the boudoir.

"I hope she gettin' better sex, Hope she ain't fakin' it like I did, babe." Perrie sings in Shout Out To My Ex.

And if Little Mix fans needed further evidence that Perrie was having a dig at the Bradford-native who is now in a relationship with Gigi Hadid, one particular lyric looked to mirror their time together.

Appearing to reference the tattoo Zayn had done of his ex girlfriend, Perrie, who was engaged to Zayn for two years, added: "Guess I should say thank you, For the 'hate yous' and the tattoos."

Oh, and in one final sick burn, the 23-year-old sings: "Oh baby I'm cool by the way, Ain't sure I loved you anyway."

The ladies' new single will be released next Sunday.

Is it just us or has anyone else noticed that Zayn said absolutely nothing about Niall's new song?!

When the Mullingar man's song broke yesterday, Harry, Liam and Louis all rushed to his side to wish him good luck and congratulations… but it seems Niall's former bandmate Zayn was too busy cutting his beard.

The solo singer debuted the new look on Instagram last night, with no caption, but of course, his fans did all the talking for him.

While rumours may be circulating that Zayn Malik is struggling to maintain his solo career on account of anxiety issues, it doesn't sound like the Bradford-native misses being part of a band.

Opening up about his decision to leave the five-piece at the height of their success, 23-year-old Zayn insists that he knew he was reaching the end of this time with his band mates.

"I just knew it was my time," Zayn explained in a recent interview with Highsnobiety. "I knew I wanted to do something different and start expressing the way I felt about certain things."

Widely considered the quietest member of the band, fans and followers feared that the singer would be the first to call it quits and it seems Zayn picked up on this.

"I know that musicians are seen as one-sided people a lot of the time. But we do have other elements to us as well. I didn't feel good. Do you know what I mean?"

Confident he made the right decision last year, Zayn added: "And if you don't feel good… you need to be able to express what it is that you are. I'm free at last."

And while he knows there is a huge amount of public interest in his life and career, Zayn is unwillingly to feed into the hype.

"I think it's a dangerous road to go down, thinking of yourself as a celebrity, because then you somehow automatically think that label makes you superior to other people," he reasoned.

Yesterday, Gigi Hadid was caught completely off-guard when Ukranian prankster Vitalii Sediuk grabbed her and lifted her up off the ground… in an effort, we think, to scare her.

The media personality, who is famous for playing jokes in his native country, has now said it was a protest against "well-connected cute girls from Instagram" that are dominating the fashion world.

Now, firstly, prank or no prank, how is grabbing a young girl funny? How is that a protest? It left Gigi feeling scared and invaded – something no woman should ever feel.

But saying that, Gigi fought back with FORCE and we applaud her for being able to handle herself so quickly (did you see that elbow she gave to his face? Fair play, girl).

However, the model's friend, actor Ansel Elgort took to Twitter last night and asked Gigi, "Where was Zayn at??"

To which she replied: "That guy should prob take some time away from icing his jaw tonight to count his lucky stars that Z wasn't there…"

We'd say Zayn would have went off the handle if he was there, and Gigi probably would have felt a little bit safer knowing her man was around… call is comfort.

But we think the Vogue cover girl handled herself pretty well, and she even took to Twitter to thank her boxing coach and tell girls everywhere that they should prepare themselves incase the same ever happens to them.

"Thanked my boxing coach today. GIRLS, prepare yourselves so that, if you ever feel in danger, MUSCLE MEMORY can fight back for you. Thank you all so much for your support."

The prankster is actually BANNED from the US after a similar incident with Brad Pitt a couple of years ago.

Earlier this week, Zayn Malik revealed he was releasing his own 'picture' autobiography so he can "show you as much as [he] can so that you can judge [him] on [his] own terms, not on what the press or anyone else says."

However, now Perrie Edwards is releasing an autobiography with Little Mix and if reports are true, it wil reveal ALL about her split from the former One Direction star.

 According to The Mirror, the girl band are ready to tell ALL about the "highs and lows" of their five years together, which will include Zayn splitting up from Perrie right before she headed away on tour.

Zayn's book is due out November 1 and the girls' is going to be released 11 days later.

Coincidence or do you think something sketchy is going on here?
