Taylor has “mini meltdown” after spotting ex at Hollywood party

It's never easy bumping into an ex, especially if things ended badly! Poor Taylor Swift apparently got a bit of a shock on Sunday night when she spotted Jake Gyllenhaal at a Golden Globes after party in Los Angeles.

The pair briefly dated back in 2011, but it seems Jake got cold feet, dumping poor T-Swift over the phone just before Christmas of that year. Ouch! Taylor reportedly went through a hard time after the break-up, so it's no surprise that she wasn't exactly delighted to spot Jake at the party.

An onlooker at the party said that the singer made a quick exit to the bathroom after Jake appeared. "She wasn't dancing… but I saw her grab her friend's hand and repeat, 'We have to go. We have to go,'" said the source.

The star apparently spent much of the night hiding out in the bathroom, being comforted by friends Dakota Johnson, Rita Ora and Cara Delevingne among others.

"The four girls were together and Taylor was having a mini meltdown. Cara's arm was around Taylor, calming her down as Rita looked on. They were talking extremely closely," said the same source.

However another attendee at the party mentioned that Taylor did stop to chat with Jake during the night, introducing him to some of her giant gaggle of friends, including the Haim sisters. 

Whatever went down, at least Taylor escaped having an awful "bumping into your ex while in sweaty gym clothes" moment – the singer was looking undeniably gorgeous in her bright yellow dress!
