Teen Mom 2 star facing backlash after daughter pictured with RIFLE
Teen Mom 2 star Jeremy Calvert has responded to fans who criticised his decision to photograph his three-year-old daughter holding a rifle.
Leah Messer’s ex-husband took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a picture of Adalynn clutching the large unloaded weapon.
The 27-year-old captioned the post: “She said daddy, lets go hunting and shoot a coyote…lol better watch out boys she wont miss lol haha (sic).”
While some of the reality star’s 306,000 followers defended the post, others accused him of being an attention seeker and of teaching his child potentially dangerous habits.
Jeremy has since deleted the image and replaced it with a message which details his stance on firearms.
It reads: “Okay to all you idiots, I was taught the correct way to handle a firearm at a very young age, and guess what so will my child.”
“I check every firearm before I put them up after shooting to make sure they r unloaded…So for all you people out there who seem to really think ur opinion matters and you hate guns I honestly don’t give a sh*t.”
“My child is PROTECTED while in my care clearly. And to all you that are against guns and don’t have them nor want them I hope no one ever tries to enter your home and bring harm to your family (sic).”
Adalynn's mother, Leah, has not yet responded to the posts.
