Ever wondered what London looks like from King’s Reach Tower? Or what Chicago looks like from Legacy Tower? Well, thanks to a group of explorers who call themselves Place Hackers you can.

Place hacking is an actual thing and involves a group of adrenaline junkies that go to dizzying heights and scary edges across the world all in the name of fun. They explore old military bases, sewers, power stations and skyscrapers under construction.

Talking to Mother Jones, Bradley Garrett author of Explore Everything: Place Hacking the City the latest craze is “about going into places that are essentially off limits and, because they are off limits, have been relatively forgotten.”

The thrill seekers don’t vandalise or wreck the place, they simply explore and document so we can see the world like it’s  never been seen before.
