G.R.L. to REUNITE two years after Simone Battle’s tragic passing
It's been a year since girlband G.R.L. announced they were parting ways after struggling to recover from the tragic death of band member Simone Battle.
But, according to the Mirror, the Ugly Heart hit-makers – who were last seen touring with Meghan Trainor in Australia – are set to reunite.
A brief statement on the band's management's website says: "G.R.L. are back. Watch this space."
When 25-year-old Simone Battle died by suicide in 2014, her bandmates were determined to continue making music and performed the song Lighthouse in her memory.
But nine months later their management released a statement to Billboard stating they were breaking up.
It read: "Nearly nine months following the tragic death of band member Simone Battle, girl group G.R.L. announces today that they are disbanding. We wish them continued success in each of their next creative endeavors."
Although the details of their reunion are not yet known, we're excited to hear that the girls are back together.
