This lad’s rendition of a Prince track stunned a Cork pub last night

The music world went into mourning yesterday as news spread that it had lost one of its biggest and brightest stars – Prince.

And as high-profile figures and members of the public quickly paid tribute online, one lad in Cork decided to honour the late star by performing a haunting rendition of Nothing Compares 2 U in Coughlan's Bar in Cork.

While made famous by our very own Sinead O'Connor, it was actually the pint-sized pop sensation who penned what is largely considered one of the greatest break-up tracks of all time, and last night  local singer and pianist, Jack O'Rourke, made it his own.
