This ONE part of Beauty and the Beast has everyone freaking out
The story is called Beauty and the Beast. Beauty and the Beast. You don’t really need to watch the thing to cop that the male romantic lead is supposed to be a bit of an uggo.
The first look at the live-action remake of the Disney classic has left some people feeling angry, and others hard done by, however. And why? Because, apparently, the Beast is too ugly!
Twitter went into meltdown yesterday, when Entertainment Weekly released its much-anticipated Beauty and the Beast special featuring nine stills from the movie.
The general consensus is that Emma Watson is a total dream as Belle, but it seems Downton Abbey fans were expecting a less…furry…look for Dan Stevens.
Indeed, Twitter has been awash over the past 24 hours with criticism from people branding the Beast just too darn ugly.
“The Beast is so ugly in the new Beauty and the Beast movie, but I can’t wait to seem Emma play Belle,” wrote one fan.

Elsewhere, one young gentleman was just having none of it, and tweeted: “Beauty and the Beast high key looks ugly.”
Thankfully, others have brought some sense to the conversation:

“People are complaining that the Beast in the new Beauty and the Beast is too ugly…this may shock a lot of you…but that’s the point,” observed another Twitter user.
Ah, Twitter; you always have a way of making us feel that bit better about ourselves.
