Toronto’s Wedding Venues: Choosing the Right Date

Toronto is a great place to explore in all seasons. Throughout the year, the city offers wonderful visual experiences to its visitors. Each season has its pros and cons. The question is, when should you have your wedding and when is the best time to do so?

Summer

It is an unforgettable experience to spend the summer in Toronto. The summer season brings more people to Toronto with festivals, water parks, pools, and the unforgettable Pride parade. Unfortunately, Lake Ontario’s proximity also brings quite a bit of humidity.

Despite the heat not being unbearable, bearing in mind the temperature is at most 35°C, it could be a handicap for most outdoor wedding venues. Another issue would be the high rates for vendors as the season is very high in demand. Don’t forget summer is very popular for weddings and you need to be planning in advance for your bookings.

If you want to look at the pros side of things, it is a time when most of your friends and family are on holiday and can make it to your wedding. Also, due to the fact that the days are longer, the wedding night won’t ever be too cold for your guests to enjoy themselves. There is no doubt that the after-party can be one of the most memorable events of your life!

Spring

Spring is the most popular time for Toronto weddings, especially at the end of May. Suddenly, the lush natural life begins to bloom once again, transforming it into a visual masterpiece of a sight to behold. With the temperatures just right, the outdoor venues only need very little, or no decoration at all since mother nature herself is so exquisitely beautiful,… it’s just one big all-inclusive package.

If you’re looking for outdoor wedding venues in Toronto, you’re in luck. The city is filled with beautiful parks and gardens that make the perfect setting for your big day.

It is important to note the cons of Persephone’s season, i.e. the prices are quite high, and vendors are rather busy during this time. Hence, you should make sure you have the right budget and the right timing for your bookings during this time. You wouldn’t want to miss the perfect season for every type of wedding dress, too. The weather is just perfect for it not to be any hindrance for bridal attires.

Fall

If there were one season we would choose to represent Canada, it could be the great autumn. During autumn, Toronto is a sight to hold with its gorgeous golden brown hues. The city’s fall foliage may be one of its greatest symbols. Discover the best food as harvest season arrives, too.

The sad news is that Toronto in fall is pretty unpredictable in terms of weather. So for no last-minute surprises, your venue selection has to be at least partly indoors, like a barn setting, in order to be disaster-proof. The venue prices are quite low in comparison to the warmer seasons, though!

Additionally, fall is the perfect season for rustic styles if you like romantic rustic aesthetics for weddings. Your wedding photographs would be jaw-dropping, in front of the beautiful colours of the fall foliage.

Winter

Winter is the dead season for weddings in Toronto. It is my pleasure to inform you first and foremost that every single service booking that you make will be the cheapest version throughout the entire year, which is encouraging news to everyone.

Additionally, “dead season” doesn’t mean you shouldn’t have your wedding in winter! It is common to see a winter wonderland theme in every inch of Toronto, and if you can promise your guests a warm cozy venue, we don’t think there would be any reason why a winter wedding couldn’t be even more magical.

As a last tip, don’t forget winter is a hard time for setting up dates as it’s the holiday season. This could mean a problem in terms of participation from your guests. Send the “Save the date” invitations after you think about the dates thoroughly.

To summarize, there are four great seasons in Toronto, each with different levels of excitement and challenges. With each season more gorgeous than the last, it’s up to you as a couple to decide how to spend your wedding budget, what your expectations are, and how you want your big day to turn out.

So close your eyes and decide if you want your wedding to be summer breezy, cascading in golden hues, framed by the greenery of lush woodlands, or set within a white fairy-tale backdrop.
