Tulisa breaks silence on deleting I’m A Celeb snaps from Instagram
Tulisa has broken her silence after fans raised concerns when she removed all traces of her time on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here from her social media accounts.
Earlier this week, the N-Dubz band member was the third famous face to be eliminated from the jungle.
After leaving the show, Tulisa failed to appear on I’m a Celebrity… Unpacked, the spin off programme hosted by Joel Dommett, Sam Thompson and Kemi Rodgers.
The 36-year-old also removed all images of herself in the jungle from her Instagram page, leaving many viewers confused.
Now, Tulisa has shared a video of herself to her 756K Instagram followers explaining that she was starting to feel ‘overwhelmed’ by the amount of attention she was receiving online.
In the footage, she revealed, “I’m just doing a little video to clear a couple things up. Just so you know, when I came out of the jungle, I felt fine first of all and then that evening my friends went to bed, I was on my Instagram, just trying to have a nice casual scroll at some funny stuff or the stuff that I like to watch”.
“I was getting a lot of attention, a lot of bombarding, in all the most positive way, but because it’s been a bit of a while for me, I can get overwhelmed quite easily and I just started to feel a bit overwhelmed”.
“I thought, I really just need to take a bit of time for me and just chill and this is all feeling just a little but much at the moment. I’m just gonna archive all my stuff to do with the jungle and when the time is right and I’ve had a little time to process, I’m gonna make my own Reels of all my best bits that I really like because I haven’t been doing my Instagram”.
Contostavlos then admitted that she wouldn’t have posted some of the photos and videos in the way they had been shared while she was doing the show.
“The way everything’s posted and all the random stuff is not the way I would do my Insta. I would have one or two really good Reels relating to the jungle and bringing together my time in there”.
The Young singer continued, “But I just wanted to clear up the reasons why that I did that and just be honest. It’s okay to feel a little bit overwhelmed. I’ve been out of the spotlight for a long time and I’m still tryna overcome those things. I’ve still got my little demons”.
“It doesn’t mean that I’m going to hide back under a rock for another 10 years, it just means I need a little bit of time to just process and get right with my thoughts”.
She went on to thank ITV and the I’m A Celeb for being “really understanding and patient”, before adding, “Mental health is important and I am super grateful for all the love and support that I’ve had. I just get overwhelmed. I’m a bit of an introvert, guys”.
Tulisa also clarified that during the interview on Lorraine earlier this week, she didn’t mean to call any of her campmates fake. Instead, she was highlighting that some friendships will be ‘nurtured’ more than others once the celebs leave the camp.
