So, Twitter has reacted to Richard Hammond’s ‘homophobic’ remarks
Remember the last time you used an ice cream to declare your sexual preference?
Yeah us neither, but that's because we (like millions others) don't consider our love of Magnums indicative of anything other than, well, our love of Magnums.
British television presenter, Richard Hammond, on the other hand, is of the opinion that a grá for the dessert is more likely if you happen to be gay.
hello & here's the full richard hammond 'ice creams are gay' piece and yeah, it's awful pic.twitter.com/JhDisRsc1Q

We know – our heads imploded too.
And, unsurprisingly, Twitter users have had had a field day over this, and wasted no time sharing their thoughts on the television presenter's bizarre remarks.
Imagine being so insecure in your masculinity and sexuality that you can't enjoy a cornetto. #RichardHammond

I don't know what's more concerning, #RichardHammond voicing a homophobic remark or an audience that applauds him afterwards. #IceCreamGate

Watching films like #Pride realise how far we've come until you see #RichardHammond saying eating an icecream is gay.

SO WEIRD that a man who drives ridiculously enormous sports cars would have such fragile masculinity eh? #RichardHammond #IceCream
