Uh oh! Has Khloé K landed herself in trouble with the law?
New Year's Eve, Fourth of July, even someone's wedding day… those are all legitimate times to set off a load of fireworks. But Khloé Kardashian doesn't live by the rules that the rest of us do, it seems.
The reality star angered thousands of coastal California residents last night when she put on a 15-minute firework display at the stroke of midnight in honour of her boyfriend's birthday.
NBA player James Harden, who Khloé has been seeing for the last few months, turned 26 today. The youngest Kardashian sister went all out with the celebrations, planning an 'all white' party on a luxury yacht for her man.
The entire Kardashian-Jenner clan gathered at the Marina Del Ray near Santa Monica to watch the lengthy display, but the celebrations didn't go down too well with those who were trying to sleep.
Many disgruntled residents, among them actor Josh Gad and singer Rebecca Black, took to Twitter to complain:
To whomever planned fireworks at midnight on a Tues thank u. Sincerely parents of 2 children who just woke up thinking we were being shelled

Thought I heard gunshots at midnight but it was just a Kardashian having a yacht party with fireworks. I'm not kidding. Oh, Los Angeles.

According to TMZ, a permit was in fact issued for the display, but nobody can confirm who issued it. One department rep claimed they "absolutely did not sign off, and never would for such a display on a Tuesday night."
Another theory is that, because the fireworks were quite far off sure, they were in another jurisdiction altogether.
Hopefully the Kardashians don't make a habit of late-night celebrations like these….
