There’s an app for that: Unislim announce the launch of their app
We’re children of the digital age so we’re more than happy to admit that our pursuit of certain goals is made exponentially easier if we know we can track our progress with the help of an app.
So, when news landed that Unislim, which was established a staggering 45 years ago, had launched a new mobile app, our health and fitness goals suddenly seemed a lot more attainable.
The organisation, which has recorded a 25 per cent weight loss across all chapters since January, has sought to make our lives a lot easier by creating an app which is completely interactive.
With a live (and private!) weigh-in stream directly from their class, food diary function, follow features and stats to help track your progress, this may just be the answer to our prayers.
Commenting on the digital development, Managing Director of Unislim, Fiona Gratzer, explained the motivation behind it.
“This new addition allows us to move with the times, remain relevant to our loyal members, while attracting a new, younger audience,” she said.
“There has been exponential growth in wearable technology and consumers expect the latest insights, particularly when it comes to their health and wellbeingis why we developed our Club Hub mobile app. “
“With a touch of a button it allows members to share their experience with other members and leaders, creating a more supportive environment than any other slimming club in the country.”
And if news of the app wasn't enough, the slimming club has announced its collaboration with Ruth Field, aka The Grit Doctor and bestselling author of Run Fat Bitch Run.
As part of their Let's Get Moving campaign, Ruth and those behind Unislim will transform how people exercise, with practical everyday tips on how we can make tiny adjustments to our routines that can have a hugely positive impact on our health and wellbeing.
The plan bears all the hallmarks of Ruth’s witty, no-nonsense, tough-talking approach, and as well as exercise, covers mindful health tips to boost overall happiness.
And all of a sudden our goals seem so much closer…
