Wait, what? Bridget Jones’ parents were in the Harry Potter movies?!

Bridget Jones and Harry Potter are two of our favourite movies, but this little bit of information totally passed us by!

We've watched these films time and time again and are only realising now that Bridget Jones' parents, played by Gemma Jones and Jim Broadbent are also mystical wizards.

Gemma starred in three of the eight HP films – The Chamber of Secrets, The Half-Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows Part II.

Do you remember her? She was Madam Pomfry, the Hogwarts nurse.

Meanwhile, Jim played the role of Professor Slughorn in The Half-Blood Prince and The Deathly Hallows Part II.

Oh, and the crossovers don't stop there. Moaning Myrtle, played by actress Shirley Henderson, was Bridget's BFF, June, in the three BJ films.
