Wait, what?! Adele and Garth are heading to the People’s Republic
If you were one of the thousands left devastated by the cancellation of Garth Brooks' Croke Park gigs in 2014 or missed out on Adele's 3Arena concerts back in March, it sounds like you're about to get a second chance to see these musical legends do their thing in Ireland.
Well, according to Lord Mayor of Cork Cllr Des Cahill, that is.
Speaking on Cork's Red FM this morning, the Lord Mayor hinted that the People's Republic might be welcoming both Adele and Garth in the not-too-distant future.

"The speculation that we could be welcoming Garth Brooks and Adele to Leeside next summer is outstanding news for Cork," he said while speaking to prominent radio DJ, Neil Prendeville.
"Although the concerts have yet to be officially confirmed the speculation that two blockbuster gigs are in the pipeline for the new Cork stadium in the summer of 2017 is a huge boost," he added.

Adding even more fuel to the fire, Lord Mayor Cahill took to Twitter this morning to express his excitement over the possibility that the city might soon be hosting two of the biggest names in the music industry.
We know it's not confirmed, we know it's not a sure thing, but that hasn't stopped us planning our route to Cork…
