We can’t believe what Hector just said about Miriam O’ Callaghan

Em, lets get something straight.

Nobody, and we mean nobody, slams our beloved choker-wearing, Prime Time presenting Miriam O' Callaghan.

The fabulous Miriam has been on our screens longer than we can remember, and yet still manages to look younger than us, so we have to admit it, Hector Ó hEochagáin's latest comments have left us with a bitter taste in our mouths.

The former 2FM presenter was chatting to Brendan O' Connor on The Saturday Night Show when he gave an insight into hosting requirements on RTÉ and appeared to slam our favourite broadcaster in the process.

Opening up about about what's expected of you, Hector said: "You don't leap around the place if you're on after the nine o'clock news on RTE One.  You're either bloody Miriam O'Callaghan talking sh*te or another one trying to imitate Miriam O'Callaghan."

Oh no, we're not having it!

He may have been axed from his radio slot in 2013, but that doesn't mean he can start slamming the woman we all want to be when we grow up.

Wear a choker with the same aplomb as Miriam and we might get back to you, Hector.
