Tragic: A ‘hopeful’ Kristin Cavallari updates fans on missing brother
It's been a tough few weeks for reality star Kristin Cavallari, but today she took to Instagram to update her fans.
Kristin's brother Michael went missing on November 27, just days after the former Hills star gave birth to her third child with husband Jay Cutler.
According to police, Michael's car was found abandoned with its engine running and airbag deployed on Utah's Interstate 70.
Kristen shared a childhood snap of herself and her brother on social media today, saying she had "such gratitude" for everyone's support.
"I appreciate all the concern, thoughts, and prayers that have been extended to me and my family," she wrote alongside the holiday photo.
"We remain hopeful and I will share any news that we receive. I have such gratitude for all those that have shared their support."
Grand County Sheriff Steven White said the car appeared to have hit a large rock on the road. The vehicle was identified as Michael's by convenience store receipts found in the vehicle, along with his laptop and cell phone.
"We're combing the area for anything we can find," White told deseretnews.com.
"We're deeming it suspicious, but there's nothing to indicate anything one way or another. The vehicle was just abandoned."
