Well that was quick! I’m a Celeb’s Ferne and George are over

While we could never really picture these two together, we were holding out a lot of hope for George Shelley and Ferne McCann's jungle romance to be real. 

And well, it seems like the romantic side of the relationship never really took off. 

Speaking on Loose Women this morning, Ferne admitted that her and George never really moved out of the friend zone. 

"I look at him as my friend. I love him a lot, I’ve got a love for him and there was an attraction there – I love him as a friend."

"Me and George got so close. The British public is always looking for that romance. Me and George, there was a bit of flanter, he’s very easy on the eye he’s a gorgeous guy but… it’s all good."

But what about the date and cheeky kiss at Winter Wonderland, we hear you ask?

"There were no tongues. It was a Christmas peck."

So there you have it. Despite all the flirting in the jungle and all the pining after a reality star romance by the general public, it seems that I'm a Celeb 2015 just could not deliver on the romantic stakes.
