Matthew McConaughey has undergone some seriously impressive transformations over the last couple of years – first as AIDS activist Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club and then as alcoholic former police officer Rust Cohle in True Detective.

His new look makes it easy to forget that Matthew was once just your standard surfer boy hottie. So we're loving this throwback Dazed and Confused audition tape from the early Nineties, featuring Matthew with his long-forgotten wavy blonde locks.
