Beauty Review: Wet n Wild lands in Ireland
L.A beauty brand Wet n Wild has finally crossed the Atlantic and found a new home on Irish shelves.
With Fergie as a global ambassador and a celeb following that includes Rachel Bilson, Mila Kunis and Minka Kelly, we were very excited to hear we’d have constant access to this exciting range of budget-friendly make-up.
We put our beauty writer, Odette, on the case to test some of Wet n Wild’s best loved products and here’s what she thought:
CoverAll cream foundation
This will have you covered all day (and all night if you need it to!). I applied it first with my fingertips and then buffed into the skin with a brush. The result was a perfectly smooth, matte and airbrushed-like finish. This foundation covers a myriad of sins with ease and gives medium-to-full coverage, leaning more towards full coverage, in my opinion. It would be best suited for normal to oily skin types, and will keep shiny skin at bay!
MegaSlicks balm stains
This glides over your lips like a dream and leaves them soft, plumped and moisturised. The shade I used was E128, which is a lovely soft, pearly pink colour with a subtle gold iridescence. This would be a great everyday lip stain, giving you a hint of colour and shine. This stain sits beautifully on your lips and won’t leave them feeling dry or cracked.
MegaLast lip colour
Once this lipstick is in place, it’s not moving. It’s a long-wearing (4 hour) lip colour that gives your lips the “wow factor”. I tried Sugar Plum Fairy, which is a beautiful deep plum colour with purple-red undertones – perfect for a dramatic night time lip. Although I loved the colour, the formula was a little drying, so a lip gloss or lip balm over top is a must.
