Win a €100 worth of MAC makeup
You have dreamed of your wedding day since Barbie met Ken and now it is time for you to start the planning and organising for real!
Everybody loves a good wedding but the process involved in planning a wedding can be downright stressful. Now, let’s imagine you’re planning your wedding in Ireland but you’re living abroad – awkward!
Being far from home is going to make things a little challenging to arrange. For example, when it’s 11am in Sydney, it’s midnight back home, making getting in touch with the right people difficult. Then, there is all that paperwork that needs to happen to get married in Ireland these days. Whether you are opting for a church wedding or a civil ceremony there is a mountain of paperwork to submit – from giving notice of your intent to marry to getting letters of freedom and so on. Parish offices and parish clerks are not as Internet savvy as you and I might think, so email or Skype calls to Fr. Fred tend not to be an option.
So what’s a girl to do?
Well, many of you may be lucky enough to call on your family or friends but if that isn’t an option for you, you can always ask Ciara! Ciara is the girl behind A Bride Abroad and she would be happy to help. Think of her as your trusted girl back home in Ireland that can help you with every task from the minor to the major. Ciara can source the bands, florists, stationery, church music, you name it, and she can suss it out. Ciara is reliable, responsive and she’s been told that she’s the most organised person around!
A Bride Abroad believes that it is hard enough being away from home at a special time in your life, so it is important to have as little stress in the run up to your wedding as possible. So don’t feel isolated, overwhelmed or far from home in the run up to your wedding, drop Ciara a note and she will be happy to help you in anyway possible. Contact ciara@abrideabroad.ie
