‘You mattered’ Tributes pour in following Chester’s tragic death
As news of Chester Bennington's sudden passing at the age of 41 filtered down through social media last night, fans and fellow artists took a moment to pay tribute to one of the most iconic frontmen of the noughties.
Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the man who brought us tracks like Numb, Crawling and In The End, people did not hold back when conveying their deep regret over Chester's death.
While his vocal talent and musical ability were acknowledged consistently throughout the messages, countless posts also paid tribute to the late artist's incredibly kind and giving nature.
From his bandmates to members of the public, Twitter was awash with people struggling to come to terms with Chester's passing.
artists are ppl compelled to bring beauty into a world that can be so dark. makes sense then that artists are always conscious of darkness..

Sad someone who touched so many didn't feel that in return. #LinkinPark was a part of a generation's adolescence. RIP #ChesterBennington
