Zara McDermott pens heartfelt tribute to praise her family
Zara McDermott is singing the praises of her family.
The former Love Island star has penned a heartfelt tribute to her mum, Karen, dad, Alan, and brother, Brad.
Admitting she was feeling ‘emotional’, Zara reflected on having ‘the best parent in the whole universe’ as she prepares to celebrate her approaching birthday and Christmas.
Taking to her Instagram Stories, Zara posted a lovely photo to her 2M followers of her and her brother with their parents while enjoying a sun-soaked holiday.
Adding text to the picture, McDermott wrote, “Going to bed feeling a bit emotional tonight… I don't even know why. I think it's because it's approaching Christmas / my birthday and I'm always so excited just to spend time with my family”.
“I truly have the best parents in the whole universe who I can talk to about anything and everything… who would quite literally do anything for me and my brother. I feel like the most blessed, luckiest girl in the universe that I got picked to be their daughter”.
“They keep asking me what I want for my birthday / Christmas but honestly I want nothing more than a cuddle on the sofa with them. Is that cheesy?? Why am I crying xxxxx”.
She closed off her heartfelt message by adding, “I love you” to the image.
The tribute comes after Zara received a message from her grandad who praised how pretty she looked while attending the British Fashion Awards.
The documentary maker shared a screenshot of a private message between her and her grandfather where he penned, ‘Beautiful’, under a snap of Zara donning a gorgeous black gown at the awards ceremony.
“Thank you Gaga. Love you xxxxx”, she replied to the sweet text.
Zara then revealed, “My grandad is nearly 91 and sending Instagram DM’s… I love him”.
